Bit unlucky that two brothers get drawn together in the prelims

I didn't know James Atken even played darts.

Against Ben Grundy apparently

This geezer looks fit to break Peter Wright in half if Wright gets up to his gamesmanship shenanigans

See anyone singing this yaya toure/kolo toure nonsense at the darts they should be forcibly removed and given a swift kick up the arse.

So tilting.  Seems to be very originality at  the darts these days.  There was a time were the chanting was funny and inventive.

The idea seed 1 plays 32, 2 plays 31, 3 plays 30 etc etc in round 2 is palpably unfair.

Kellet was better off being unseeded than pushed up to 32 seed because he is certain to play MVG in round 2 if he gets there.

The only certainty from the draw should be 1 seed can't play 2 seed until the final.

One of seeds 3 or 4 goes in top half, one goes in bottom.

Then 5,6,7,8 get spread randomly, one in each qtr.

Etc etc.

That's how they do it at Wimbledon and it works very well.

The number 16 seed (Terry Jenkins) is due to play MVG in the third round, yet the 27 seed (Bunting) won't have to play one of the big two until the semi final.

How is that fair?

Number 15 and 16 seeds are guaranteed harder early rounds than 27 and 28.

Should be much more randomised.

Clearly set up to make it more likely MVG plays Taylor in the final.

Anyone know how long the draw has been manufactured like this?

Pretty sure the World Snooker Championship draws are set up more randomly. (Correct me if I'm wrong)

Not sure Camel you probably need Bazza to clarify that.

Imagine you stayed to watch this dross and missed your tube/bus home.

I need one more maximum for a scoop but its not by skill its just both have been so bad that the match keeps going.

It also means the 8 seed has an easier draw than the five seed.

Yes he play 1 in the qtrs, but there is a much greater chance 4 and 2 have been knocked out by the time he should face them than 5 has.

It's a fix.

in the 20years or so I've been watching darts the draw has been like that. Snooker is the same.

Look at the Wimbledon draw:

http://wimbledon.betting-directory.com/mens-wimbledon-tennis-draw.php

1 seed (Djoko) is due to play 31 seed in round 3.

And Djoko will play the 3 seed (Murray) if they both make the semi finals.

Definitely fairer!

So glad that Pipe is out and that I actually missed watching him play that's like a double nut result.
