Any chance at all King is exaggerating his pain to get a bit of gamesmanship going? Not saying he's faking it, but the pauses and the winces could upset a young lad's rhythm.
Not averse to playing the player, historically.
I've had sciatica.
The pain I thought was a ten out ten pain before I had sciatica was actually only a two max.
Sciatica. THAT'S real pain.
Is that what this is? If so, I'm amazed he's still there. Another set is going to be brutal.
According to wikipedia he had earlier in the year.
It comes and goes for about 6 months usually, so I'm assuming it is.
One moment you feel zero pain, the next you want to top yourself it hurts so much.
Slipped discs apparently. Anything in the back is going to be very unpleasant.

My uncle was in hospital for 10 days with slipped discs.
How is King even playing?

A gallon of cortisone, at a guess.

Any unusual betting moves in the Bunting match on the handicap market?
Bunting went from playing ok, to not being able to hit the board in the 3rd set.
Looked pretty dodgy.

I wouldn't normally try so hard, but didn't have another opportunity I could wait for. I wasn't ready to surrender what I WANTED SO MUCH, that easily, I couldn't guarantee a call with me staying stoic and relying on a flinch "top pair" calling reflex.

David Croft. Fills in a bit for the presenter, Dave Clark, but also provides the main commentary duty for the F1 coverage. There isn't anything like him in darts, so he's a bit different in style.

That was mightily impressive from Michael Smith. Must have averaged 105+ in those last 4 sets.

Future world champion if he gets the mental game sorted. He rattles off legs like MvG and Lewis when he's firing.

Typical match to show how frustrating darts can be, if either of these guys became consistent they would certainly contend more. Come on Bunters!!

Crofty is a bit different. I like him though.
Anyone with young kids should watch Disney Pixar's "planes". Crofty does a great cameo.
