Did Rhowena do (or still do) modelling?  I went to a workshop for my camera club a few weeks ago and someone did a little photograph presentation to music and I'm sure it was Rhow in it.  The photographer even called it Rhowena, but only her first name.  I couldn't ask him as sadly he died a year or so ago, someone else showed it as part of a project.

I don't know, but I would guess so, yes.

She did quite a bit of modelling, including a lot of underwater stuff. It was "glamour modelling", not porn, you know, arty farty stuff. She used to have her own website, with galleries & the like, but she got a bit of grief from the usual suspects, so she took it down, or Dave did.

We were at the Irish Open one year, doing a big Live Update, & some smartarse spammed the live Update with links to her site, so either Iron or me banned the account who posted the links, it was just someone being nasty.

What we never realised, is that we banned the account by IP Address, not username or e-Mail, & in dong so, we banned every single member of blonde who was at the Irish Open, including me & whoever else was doing the Update, (Jen, I think), so not a soul at the Irish Open could access blonde, & the blondes lost their Live Update.

Not quite sure how we got from Darts to Glamour Modelling & blonde Live Updates.

Carry on, back to the darts.

8 were locks.

Chisnall probably deserved a spot after GSOD final. After that it was take your pick from any of a handful of others. Huybrechts make Hearn more money so gets the nod. I'm not sure any of the others can feel all that aggrieved as none of them can really put forward a compelling case as to why they should be in.
Pretty much this but I'd even go further and say Chizzy was a lock based on ranking, GSOD final, his heavy scoring and the comical way he says doubles.

The only contentious pick for me is Kim over Thornton who has performed reasonably well in PLD, is another heavy scorer and reached the quarters of the Worlds. The fact that there were 2 other Scots in may have just gone against him. Personally I think it's come a year too soon for Kim and Smith and anyone seriously suggesting Dolan can't have watched him very often he's nearly as slow as Pipe.

Rather talk (and watch) glamour models than BDO bbc darts!

Are we having this chat on your diary or are you going to going to find a link to the darts? Maybe something to do with sewing?

I'm hoping you got the dough from the share we had and didn't return my bit with your own money?

I can't even remember who we staked!

Was Mr C, do you still keep in touch with him?

No, not as such.

His exit from blonde made things a little tense between us for a while. He was struggling at the tables, & thought the blonde headaches were contributing to that. Anyway, he sold his Shares, & it was soon clear I had gone from the frying pan to the fire, but that's another story.

He also had those little problems with Rhowena. I was friends of both of them, & got caught between them a bit. Both were spying on the other, & wanted me to be their little spy, which of course was impossible.

I was working for you at Wm Hill at the time, & we used to do that TV Show, Poker 425 (?), & Rhow, myself, Compo, Billy the Cameraman, Clive Lawrence (who ended up doing Greyhound TV for Sky Sports),  & little Steve Meehan, the Producer, (great bloke Steve, loved his horse racing), used to go away most weekends to film TV Tourneys all over Europe, even Vegas. (Compo in Vegas would get a whole chapter if I ever penned a book).

So I was up to speed on Rhow's dalliances with you know who, & then Dave started asking me for the inside line.

An awkward spot, & so, for a while, both Rhow & Dave got the lip on with me as I was like Manuel in Fawlty Towers, I know nothing.

Next I heard, Dave had moved to the Philippines, & we lost touch, Rhow married a geezer from Southampton & I was left holding a blonde baby.

Fast forward to about 4 years ago, I bumped into Dave in Vegas. He was doing a Consultants role for Chiptych (sp?) who were trialling a "Live Update" system at the WSOP.

It was a bit frosty at first, as we first bumped into each other whilst standing at adjacent urinals, with our hands full, so a handshake was a bit awkward, especially as Dave was rather well-built.  We could hardly ignore each other, either. Anyway, we eventually concluded the (e)vac & shake, & started chatting, frostily & defensive at first, but soon we were cool & cuddly wuddly again.

We saw a good bit of each other after that, & again the next 2 years in Vegas, & we were like Fonzy.

He was not there last year, though, or not that I know.

Sorry 'bout the rambling reply, but you jogged a few memory things there.

Blimey, I had forgotten most of that. Sounds like a very tricky spot for you.

Dave Whorley is a great judge of darts, works on something to do with the TV production of BDO, has quite a detailed knowledge. (Told everyone to get on Anderson as early as Feb at 28/1, last year had Wright and Also MVG when he was quite a price) anyway he tweeted that it would be nice if Jeff Smith could get over the line in the BDO. Currently 33/1 with sky. Enough for me to have invested a couple of squid. Good luck if u play.

Jeff Smith won 3-1 tonight and is through to play Gary Robson in the last 16.

A walk to the quarters then.  Anyone that managed to get the 125/1 Is in a nice spot. Only 3/8 Seeds left in top half (and one of them is Robson) compared to 7/8 in bottom half.

Smith through to the quarter finals, plays Robbie Green who is the fav at 4/1, should be a good match up, Green has played well so a big challenge for Smith.

Really pleased to see Fallon Sherrock got through to the semi's, would be great to see her in the final, however she has to get through Anastasia first, looking forward to that match more than the mens.

97 odd he finished on.

I know we slag the BDO off a fair bit but that bullseye that he hit was one of the best darts i have ever seen thrown. The bull was totally blocked, he must have moved at least 2 feet off the oche

I know amazing shot.  You could tell from his reaction he knew he was smoking hot tonight.
