Loved that photo of The Bandit with his twin daughters.
What a wonderful story that is, too.
God bless you Pete.
Pete is a great guy. I used to always travel with him to WSOP and we have had some fun times
, but as tikay would say.." thats for another another day"
Always one of the first guys I contact when I come home for Xmas. Very good company..Lawrence Gosney style

any updates from day 2?
They normally come through early evening our time from the day before
Some of the players gave some chip counts in the posts above on pages 5-6

Went through the hotel lobby late yesterday afternoon, must have been 90 degrees outside and a steel band are playing "white Christmas"
Felt very homesick for 3 seconds

Luck plays it's part in tournaments in so many ways. Having a hand when someone else has one that is close enough to call; having your opponents have no hand when you make a move; hitting the one-outer; getting a decent seat draw.
I feel like I've definitely been lucky in my seat draw in each day. Not being disrespectful to Devilfish, nor to Pete Evans, but I've played against Pete a couple of times now and had the benefit of watching the FT video from the GP and Devilfish was nowhere near as scary or aggressive as I had anticipated. Check called him on turn and river holding
on a
. He announced that I must be good if I was calling but was less than impressed by what I called with. "Stick around, I'll have all your chips" ...
Not too disappointed by today's draw either. JP is obviously a threat as is Jules, but avoiding Rob for now, and some of the other big stacks feels like it's a pretty good result.
Whatever happens tonight this place is so good and the experience so massive that I feel I've won already. Anything else is a bonus.
Once again, big shout out to Rob and the team. They have made this trip extra special.
