Would have been nice to be included for an actual poker achievement, but the last couple of years it has been more a case of thin and thinner rather than thick and thin.

Camel tilted the fk out of me waaay bk when he said something that imo was pretty naughty about John Hartson. But, i've since forgiven him (lol) for that comment and love to read his tweets and posts on Blonde. Congrats fish!

Funnily, exact same thing with me about the same Hartson comment, but spoke to him about it not that long ago. Love his posts/honesty.

I have never met Keith, but I have heard a huge amount of great stuff about him from mutual friends. His contributions on blonde are brilliant; full of wisdom, insight, humour... and sometimes just a little touch of naughtiness.

The problem with the Hartson thing (and I got in a similar pickle on 2+2 posting my thoughts about Chip Reese) is I could never get offended about someone's opinion about an individual who I don't know personally.

Other people obviously don't agree with this view.

It was never my intention to deliberately offend or upset anyone.

One of my favoutite posters by a country mile, lucky enough to meet him a couple of times this year and share a dinner; just a stand up, proincipled guy with great values who loves a punt....

It was your rampage pal, Paul Spillane who christened me Camel.

I sold lots of shares and managed to get in the tournament.

Lucky enough to go pretty deep and Paul (who had a decent share) railed me all the way.

At a break, late on day 2 I spotted Paul at the bar and wandered over to order a beer and have a chat.

"Paul, I don't like to say this, but you've been stood at this bar for about 10 hours now, I think you might have a drink problem"

"Me have a drink problem? You are playing the biggest tournament of your life, and during the break instead of getting a bit of fresh air and considering your tactics and strategy for the next level, you run to the bar for a pint"

"Well, I certainly haven't got a drink problem, I can go days without having a drink."

"You're a fucking camel then."

I managed to squeak into the final the next day, and was ridiculously nervous.

Paul had a word with the geezer on the microphone, so when he did the introductions he said.

"And in seat number 7, from Reading, England is Keith "The Camel" Hawkins"
