Just over 40 years ago in the East of England, this blonde member was born

He didn't have webbed feet, and had ten toes and fingers. An auspicious start

Progress at school was swift. Many was the time where he'd stand next to the teacher and say at sports day

"Excuse me Miss, but I notice that Lane 1 is an advantage in the Egg and Spoon race, but Lane 6 is better in the Teachers Sack race. Why is that?"

The teachers were habitually non-plussed, and began privately to despair of the prospects for this slightly unusual lad.

For our blonde, school-days passed and he began to make his way in the world. One day at Newmarket races, he felt that odd tingle again as 30 runners stormed up the track in the Cambridgeshire

Some months later, the path to best selling authorship had began

Many other titles followed, some of which avoided the remainders bin for several months, as did a career in racing journalism which was supplementing his income from racing, particularly in-running as he benefitted from the huge technological change in his industry from Betfair, to fast broadband connections to live streaming of races at home and then became an "expert" on many of the reality TV concepts that hit our screens from Big Brother 1 onwards, and betting on those became another source of income.

That member, of course, is Chompy

Some time after, Chompy took up Poker. Sadly the jumper is typical.

and he became a regular at Luton, and then a regular on blonde. For several years he ran the very successful Luton card-room threads on here, when they were really in their pomp. Superb sense of humour, and no one was spared his corruscating barbs. His poker articles in the Racing Post were also hilarious, written in such a way that you didn't even need to know some of the Luton characters he was writing about to find them amusing.

Sadly the poker results did not match the power of his written word, but he persists, ever the trier. Unlike many of his horse tips.

All joking aside, Chompy is one of the shrewdest on here and some posts are worth their weight in gold. As one good judge said, and as Chompy put in his sig line

"If there are guys that are awarded 'no-quibble insta-bet' status then, despite his penchant for reality TV dross, Chompy should be in the same bracket." - Simon Galloway, 18 August 2012

One of blonde's staple posters for over 5 years, Mr Graham Wheldon.

Fenland flouncer makes it in. Awesome.

Anything I could say about Graeme, would only inflate his already huge ego, so I won't.

Congrats.

Top bloke is Simon

In the words of my idol Victor Meldrew, "I cannot believe it"

Didn't know I was on the calendar as I was in Vegas (thin I know).

Julian mentioned it to me tonight at Dtd, privilege to be included with so many Blonde heroes Smiley

How was your journey home from Gatwick? Wink

Yes FARCE....it's a poker forum; how can a man who advocates 20 way chops be in? Scandaolous, shocking inclusion.

Smiley

Well done Chomps, keep battling the squareheads - been fun the few times we've shared table recently.
