Jamie Sykes min raises the button to 4,000

Dinarte Araujo De Sousa in the big blind calls

flop

check

Sykes 5,500

De Sousa 13,300

Sykes 26,000

De Sousa 60,000

Sykes flats the 4th bet post flop

Sykes starts the hand with 150,000

De Sousa 120,000

De Sousa shoves his last 40,000 on the  turn

Sykes folds

De Sousa shows him !

Sykes tells us he had deuces....

That's pretty incredible.

Great updates as always Tighty, missing this one but will hopefully make the pilgrimage next month.

Interested in Jamie's thoughts on this hand if reported correctly!

Tremendous Updating Tighty, thank you.

Wonderful atmo @ DTD yesterday, that place is the nuts.

Thewy - how he do that?
Julian Thew opens 10-9 suited

Ray Brookshaw three bets Aces

Any guesses how this finishes?

Thew calls "probably technically not the correct call" he concedes after

flop?

7-8-J

Thew gets the lot in on the flop, called and doubles to over 100,000

<3 Julian.

Top updates Tighty, if you're 'lucky' you might have a full complement from Team Gascoigne this arvo...

Hi Dwayne,

No, I'm afraid not.

I hope you have a great day though, & if you make Day Two - & you WILL (think positive) you'll be able to hook up with Julian Thew.

There were loads of Sky Poker regulars there yesterday, including "Timber", "Dooobs", & "StayOrGo", who holds the remarkable distinction of winning the Thursday Night Main Event on Sky Poker two weeks running in December!

I also shared a Table with one of the nicest lads you could ever wish to meet, who took his beats like a proper bloke should, & we clashed repeatedly all day. His name was Paul Singhal.

I somehow bust his set of Aces with  which left him with just 9,000 chips, & the very next hand he busted my  with  to double back up.

So, he then asks if he can have my photo. Which is a little embarassing, but still very nice. I pose, he takes the pic, "thank you", "no worries".

"It is for your biggest fan ", he says.

"You are? Wow!"

"No, but my Mum is"".......

Good luck today Dwayne, I'll look out for you on the Update, & I'll ask Tighty to get a photo of you for the Update.

Thanks tikay, kind words. Ive have a couple of decent cashes in the dtd deepstacks recently, just falling short of final tables, so if i get to day 2 thats the target! sounds like you had a decent run yesterday too... Im just on a train coming from Manchester now (didnt make a note of the type unfortunately...lol), looking forward to a good day whatever happens!

You did not make a note of what sort of train it was? Shame on you.......

I'm actually having second thoughts about not coming up again toiay, the atmo yesterday was just so lovely, & I had such a great day, meeting so many friends from down the years.

Make sure you make Day Two, anyway.
