Can someone please explain why Sagan is such a massive favourite for Stage 2?     2/1 with Bet 365!

It's very hilly so all the regular sprinters, i.e. Kittel, Griepel etc will get dropped. Sagan, though a sprinter, is actually pretty good at getting up the hills so is likely to stay with the climbers.

If he does that there is unlikely to be any sprinters left to compete against him

Any speculative bets on long shots today? Breakaway likely to succeed?

not really had a proper look.

Initial thoughts, Cancellara may have a dig, yesterday showed he's 100%, & should like the short tough power climb towards the finish.

Valverde may see an opportunity.

Others, Kwiatowski, Degenkolb, Dumoulin, Van Avermaet.

I'll be off to Jenkins Road later, friend of a freind has a house half way up, short 20 minute walk from my house.

Wonderful afternoon, spent just around the bend in the photo above, with friends. Superb atmosphere.

Special kudos to Kittel for riding over to salute the German fans across the road from us.

Pretty sure the poor bandaged Lampre rider boldly still peddling 30 minutes after the leaders appreciated the extra cheers.

No bet day for me. Can't see past Kittel. Demare likes the finish, I'm expecting FDJ to put a big effort for this one, but I've not got involved.
