Great stage!

Reckon the results today can be discounted when it comes to form etc? Seems the Contador/Valverde group completely eased up  and played it safe  over the cobbles. Contador at almost 2/1 seems good to me!

Especially when you think that the reason Nibali went on the attack is that he knows he is going to lose time in the mountains, and needs as much of an advantage as possible.

why is Nairo Quintana not in the TdF?

Really enjoyed watching him last year, why would a team leave him out?

Is it just me or has there been a lack of sprint stages in the first week compared to normal, I remember a few years back chipolini winning 5 or 6 stages before we hit mountains and he would climb off

Think its been pretty standard. Kittel & his fellow sprinters do a great job getting within the time limit on mountain stages.

Yeah i know they do, but there hasnt been as many flat stages imho in first week, maybe i am imagining it but i always thought it was flat till the alps/ pryanise and it was always decided by a sprint or breakaway. I much prefer the climbs and the tactics of the mountain stages just thought it was odd we had so many tough stages so early

Contador has abandoned! This year's TdF is nuts.  Shocked

The two overwhelming pre-race favourites are out of the TDF, and we're not even at the first rest day! Alps & Pyrenees still await!

What happened with Contador? Commentator seemed to suggest his bike frame just collapsed?!
