Just been looking at it Tighty. I took Garmin at opening price of 4/1. Vaughters, the manager expects a top result & have trained on the course. All seemed to avoid most of the crashes & finished strongly today without having to pull at the head of the peloton. I have them as favourites over OPQS who have some concerns over Tony Martin, although I notice he finished in the main bunch so may be he'll be close to 100%. Sky have injury issues with Thomas & Stannard, their main engines. Movistar were wrongly priced at 30/1, decent EW chance. But now 10/1. Value in BMC @ 20/1 with PP. Good engines in Schar & Quinziato. 3rd at Tirreno TTT. No injury worries as far as I know.

Been away with the family so only caught the highlights on the news.
I thought there may be plenty of blood spilt, but was expecting it in the bunch sprints. Sagan massive fav for green imo.
Froome obv looking comfortable but Stannard & Thomas appear wrecked. Sod doing anything with a broken pelvis, let alone cycling up mountains
Exciting TdF already
Cracking call with Gerrans Tonji

Stage 5. Cavendish is not at 100% & Sagan looks to be off his finishing sharpness, not helped by a lack of team support in the finishes. That leaves Greipel as favourite. But opportunities for others... OGE & the sprinters teams should be pulling on the front to make this a bunch finish. But the final lumpy climbs & fast decent do give opportunities for a late break. Sojasun have been active so perhaps one of their riders. For now I've gone, out of leftfield, Samuel Dumoulin (AG2R) EW at 80/1. A punchy rider on the climbs & in the mix for the sprints.

Can't help but think that Marcel Kittel @ 16/1 e/w (4 places paid) with Coral is great value.

I tend to think that Kittel, although very fast, but too big and might find the final climbs too much and maybe the team will go with John Degenkolb.

Another thought for today, but looking at the overall. After yesterdays disappointing TTT from Garmin, today looks like a stage to catch Sky with surprise attacks. OGE will have to defend yellow, allowing Sky & the other GC teams any easy day. Occurs to me that if Garmin want to create chaos, Hesjedal, if feeling good could liven todays stage somewhat.

Kristoff was 6th, but got boxed in the final 500m, not a bad effort having to jump wheels. Dumoulin was a brave 11th

A pure sprinters stage, all the big boys should make it to the final. Only worry is crosswinds early in the stage to break up the peloton. http://www.oddschecker.com/cycling/tour-de-france/tour-de-france-stage-6-[aix-en-provence-montpellier-176km]/winner Nothing looks attractive to go against Cavendish. Kristoff likely to struggle with the big sprinters teams lining out the trains. Maybe a day for Kittel to upset?

If he doesn't crash again. Unfortunate, I think he can compete with Cav if his train works perfectly.

No bets today, yet....
Looks like the wind is blowing, big splits possible in the peloton if OPQS drill it.
Betfair & in play betting could get interesting.
