De Brabantse Pijl tomorrow.

Pretty keen on Tony Gallopin in this. Lotto Soudal have confirmed he is joint leader with Ligthart. 3rd last year & has looked stronger this season. Also has changed his approach to the classics this year, focusing on the Ardennes races. 18/1 EW with PP (I'm back in business with em thanks to a neighbour).

managed to miss this yesterday, big fan of gallopin, been in good form this season in races not necessarily suited to him, glgl

hit the crossbar, he was 4th.

On to the Amstel Gold Race next.

for the amstel i like kwiatkowski, 8/1 looks good to break gilbert's domination on the cauberg. interesting cycling weekly tip him up as the outright favourite, they mustn't check oddschecker before writing their preview  Smiley

Gilbert pretty much owns this race. Kwitkowski certainly on my short list, Matthews also can go close imo. But I think I might be looking for a value outsider this year. Already have Henao @ 100/1 EW. Just a hunch a late attack from a strong in form rider can brake the usual charge up the Cauberg on the last lap. Just waiting for some hints from the teams on tactics, normally in the next few days.

Amstel.

Have pondered. Liking the talk & morale within Team Giant - Alpecin at the moment. Tom Dumoulin has been confirmed as sole leader. A home boy, knows the roads, & Amstel is one of his prime targets this season. His immense ITT at Pais Vasco confirms he's 100%. Will tactically need to establish a break on the final circuit, but has the experience now to perhaps make one stick, of course will need some luck, but a classy rider sure to go all out for the win. Taken 40/1 win only.

Struggling to see a lot of value in the Amstel betting, I think the win is wide open and Gilbert is way too short at 3/1, Valverde at 11/2 seems about right but tees is no stand out favourite for this in my opinion.

I also know that Dan Martin fancies his chances and believes he can win this race and I think he'll go very close.

I agree Ulissi at 150/1 looks a decent outside bet and almost went for that bet myself.

In the end I've gone for an outrageous outsider at 250/1 e/w in Diego Rosa.  Nathan Haas also has an outside chance at the same price.

I'll also have a few quid on Dan to win as I'd love to see him win this one.

I'd noticed Dan has been talking up his form, hope he goes well for you.

I'll also have an eye on Michael Valgren, leading Tinkoff, talented youngster.

10/1 for Joaquim Rodríguez at L-B-L looks too big to me. Best climber in Pais Vasco, looks to have timed his form perfectly for Ardennes week. I also seem to remember a comment from his agent that Leige is his main objective this week.

Could have done without Nibali riding across to that break, Rosa is going to cook himself now pushing on for Nibali.

Would of hoped for Dumoulin to be in the counter attacked. Good to see Henao up the front
