while we are waiting for final - anyone have any suggestions on how we avoid late finishes like this in future, options are;
1. cap runners at the GTE ie. 500 max for £150K, turn people away above the 500
2. 12pm starts day 1 and day 2
3. take out 4-5 levels
4. reduce 40 min clock to 35 mins
5. reduce chips to 20k
etc etc
Cheers Rob
12pm starts please Rob, if the staff can manage it
Many travelling players for Day 2 are out of hotels by mid morning and waiting for the club to open
Don't think the other options are too palatable for players
I'd agree Richard 12pm start for all days rather than touch clock, chips, money they are great as they are
I wouldn't touch Friday. A working day, earlier start is trickier
Saturday and Sunday, yes, earlier the better.
It does however crucially depend on staffing, rotas, costs etc. Only DTD will know whats possible in that regard

Surely nothing needs to change? Looks like the final will start in the next half an hour. Finished for 2?

Will Jones shoves 9-6 off and Toghyan, again calls with, again a hand 10-10
Tens hold and we lose Jones in 10th
Now setting up the nine handed final
Lose one and we'll move to the streamed feature
I know go off the updates and onto the microphone, you'll see me around the nine handed final in a bit
As many of you won't be around when I re-emerge, thanks very much for reading and interacting. See you all soon
If anyone wants to pop up significant hands that I commentate on, or talmk about the comemntary or the stream itself, please feel free
Feedback welcome
Night! (he says, optimistically)

Is it still a 60-minute clock for the final?
That was the only thing that seemed superfluous to me in the structure.

well you could say that about the decision to get rid of the £300 deepstack in the first place!

12pm starts. 20k stack. Shorter breaks if possible.
I really wanted to play this but having to be up at 6am put me off. I had visions of a 3am finish and whilst that's prob ok as I'd be getting loads of money I don't feel like only having 1 hours sleep lol.

I think like with this one, a lot of people are under the impression that it's a one-off with a big guarantee, so they make the effort for the first one. I think it's pretty hard to sustain on a monthly basis. I don't doubt Feb will still make the guarantee but slowly decline from the big 727 runners month to month.

How's about moving Day's 1a and 1b to Thursday & Friday with a 4pm start, allowing buy-in's to around 8pm, (fair to those who are working or need to travel say from London), but ensuring an early finish at around 11:30pm/midnight. This way those working Friday won't have too late a night on Thursday. OK, so it will mean a much larger field on the Saturday, (you could easily the start at midday), and finish a sensible time on the Sunday. Would also be good for the Club in that you would have more people on-site over the four days. I agree you could drop the breaks to 15 minutes but would not touch the stacks, clock or the structure. BTW, apologies for the higorance, but where do I find the stream?
