"Gascoigne checked, prompting the lively Sion to throw out a 5,100 bet at the pot. When Gascoigne sprung into life with a check-raise all-in for around 50,000 however, Sion’s interest evaporated away and he folded leaving Gascoigne picking up the chunky 25,000 pot, and moving to just under 80,000."

Right. We are down to 9 handed. I have the winner of the EPT Monte Carlo on my left and he has a zillion chips. Nice. We are on a short break.
Some hands. I call a short stack all in with 88 he has AK spades. He misses everything but gets runner for back door flush. An early hit.
I raise with AK. It's been the only raise that doesn't through. Flop comes 7,8,9 and I am sure the button likes this.I continue bet he calls.Turn another 8. I give up on the hand. So first two hands I played and they cost me about 50,000 chips. Fold for an hour and decide need to do something. So I call a min raise in the SB. Check the innocuous flop.Villain bets and I put him all in. Morale restored.
Raise with A2 dd. two callers. Flop 5,5,2. Checks to me,I bet one caller. Then checks to the river for me to get another nice pot.
Build stack up to about 90k when this happens. Min raise from UTG of 3,200. Aggro button makes it about 9,000. I see AK in the small blind and to be frank before I knew it I had put 90,000 chips in the middle. Button tanks for some time and claims to have folded JJ. Nice pot and up to about 120,000.
New table looks seriously tough so need a bit of help from the Poker Gods.

Obviously all my chip counts and hand histories are mere approximations to whatever happened. No cash till top 7 so doubt if I will be getting a little Irish Tricolour till then. Ok back to work.

You cant leave Ireland now, you're on the final table.

Ps. Why isn't your chipcount indented on the official site?
