I thought it was a bit of a tilty shove into the BB of the guy who had just spiked the ace against you, so thought my  was in good shape.  Hadn't planned on you turning the flush.

Good luck on Sunday.

WORD TO SELF - don't try a complete over bet shove on the river with a  Two Clubs  board repping the full house when it's obvious he can never fold

Try again tonight then

tut tut smurf lol,

only reason hes prob made that call is cos he intends on playing another night, thats what ruins poker. cos you have played poker mr smurf Wink

UL, i too will try tonight but failing that im taking my last two chances live. ive asked if i can have my starting stack for friday if i turn up at 6.30 (beacuse of work), Nicola kindly accepted, i dont think i'll be too far behind the average stack and fances my chances alot more live

last nights experience wasnt too bad i suppose considering it was first night.

p.s tighty could we see the 18 who made it through plzzz, ty

Hi Folks

182 players entered day 1A of the Grand prix a positive start.

Playing for 18 spots into the sunday final + 2 x £60 tokens for 19th & 20th

I will post chip counts up at the end of play.

Good luck to those in the fight

Well done to the 18, hoping to join them on Sunday :-)

I think I know the answer to these, but will ask anyway..

a) If you get the consolation prize of a re-entry through being caught in the hinterland of the rounding down to 10%, and were playing with a Golden Chip, does it carry over?

and

b) If you get the consolation prize of a re-entry through being caught in the hinterland of the rounding down to 10% and choose not to use it because the answer to a) was no and you want to play your second attempt live on Saturday with a Golden Chip in play, can you cash in the value of the consolation prize?

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.
