This really was a good final table
So often the play on these can be a bit stilted, and its understandable as the money at stake is large, and the pay jumps big, and people can't deal.
Not this final though. I think I expected Ben V and LilDave to fight it out, but early on there was one of the best plays you will ever see from a player I have never seen before, Richard Paul. It starts when he raises with 2-9.....I can post the hand up, but am wary of spoilers as I hope a load of people watch the re-run
Then, as the final wore on, Matt "Rexas" (new blonde) Harris started mixing it up. I'm not sure if it is true Matt that you won your entry into this by winning a pub raffle? Or is that a mistake on my behalf? I think I heard you say it! Some spin up if its right....
Anyway, it was a pleasure to watch.

and "past streams", and it will be there by midweek.
There is the option of watching with the sound turned down! but don't, Honeybadger talks as well as writes well about the game he clearly loves.

Hey guys, makes sense that my first post comes on this thread! Glad so many people watched my biggest ever tournament cash by some margin, fantastic to play with so many great players. I think my inexperienced showed through heads up, where I quite rightly got crushed (sounds like a popular result though!). Hope I didn't embarass myself too much overall, fantastic atmosphere, hope to make a more serious run at the national circuit sometime soon. Full credit to Dave, one of the nicest guys I've ever met and showed true class, both through his poker and his grace in victory. A worthy winner! (WHERE THE FUCK WAS MY SPADE!)
Matt
massive kudos, wp. you know there's sick variance in tournaments when you find yourself up against Lil dave deep in one, no way to get past his mad heater skills on the day!

Thanks yeahman. I am a long time reader of this forum but my first DTD deepstack final table has inspired me to sign up!
Well done to Dave, glad I donated my chips to the winner.

No offence to matt, but so glad lil'd won this! Like honeybadger said - Dave is one of if not the nicest poker player I know, always has time for everyone and happens to have a little talent in the finger he negotiated to keep from the Chinese guys who took tue other one.
I hope this helps dent his runbad hole for the year, he showed me his graph this week and I laughed but also cried when i saw the EV going up and the $$ going down.
He's helped me personally a lot, and deserves a mantlepiece ornament. I'm looking forward to celebrating with a drink next time i see him.
Well done mate.

I watched more of this live stream than previous ones.
Have to say it was a pretty masterful performance from Dave, never really under pressure, looked totally in command of the situation and his own decision making. Really vwp and a great win.
Also found Tighty's commentary very accomplished and thought Stu was the ideal guy in the second chair - really good mix of humour and first class analysis without getting too preoccupied with jargon. Very very good and excellent free entertainment

The pub raffle thing was my first ever live tournament a few years back in a side event to a poker festival in brighton (literally the worst feeling ever, QQ into 77 at the final table and he spikes a seven, not that i remember at all....
). I won my seat to this event through a satellite and a beautiful folding performance
(I'm such a nit...)

Haha, I'd have believed you wanted rid of the tag if you didn't put f, Julian knew it'd take the full word to be shot of it.
