2.10pm: Alexander Rhys-Davies eliminated in sixth place (€10,510) It had been a good orbit for Alexander Rhys-Davies, he'd got a walk and shoved twice (showing A♦K♥ on one occasion) to increase his stack to almost 400,000. However it all unravelled on the last hand before the break. He moved all-in and this time he got a taker, in the shape of Fridjon Thordarson. Rhys-Davies: A♣9♥ Thordarson: J♣J♥ A 9♠4♦8♠ flop gave him some hope, but it came 2♦Q♦ to eliminate him from the tournament in sixth place. The five remaining players are now on a 15 minute break. -- NW

@MtSpewmore I wouldn't normally try so hard, but didn't have another opportunity I could wait for. I wasn't ready to surrender what I WANTED SO MUCH, that easily, I couldn't guarantee a call with me staying stoic and relying on a flinch "top pair" calling reflex.

oh yeh, us rookies should'nt do what you tell us to do. I mean it's not worth a gamble to see a flop..never, lets just play safe at all costs, I mean you've got the 'range' havn't you? You know exactly what the other player has got? Right? Well us poor players like to get other the likes of Alan Stearn AI for their tourney lifes when they have got nearly no chance of winning. This will be my last post on this matter, I have said what i have believed is the right thing to do. Alan banged his fist down and shouted 'yes' when he hit. If you back that up then get on with it. Over and out.
Did you stop around and see how the tournament panned out? haha @ me

This is why I love this forum. I never post but this thread has inspired me to start.
I was on a final table online last night (/brag) and my A9 shove lost to KQ. Villain then went on to win the tournament.
