Wonder who, right now is googling this??!!
Google schmoogle
I just looked up your course in my book and see it's designed by James Braid.
I've played a few of his courses and all were delightful.
He usually has some interesting short par-4's
Its ok. I think we all get a little complacent about our own course though. Over last ten years they have made some changes and tightened it up, and its a good test, for a shorter course. As you say, some lovely well designed short par

Maximum Club "regular" handicap is 28, & always has been to the best of my knowledge.
Some Clubs may vary this I suppose, but 28 is the default.

The comma in the thread title is disturbing me a little.
Can't explain why and I love a good comma.
Golf related, my bets are basically goosed. Also, what is the maximum handicap I can get? At the yearly football team golf outing I get hit with 24 every time and get told it's the max despite only having broke 100 once, ten years ago. Not fair.
Fair point.
I've thought about it, & it could be argued it is fine with, or without.
I guess on balance it could be construed as superfluous.
Be thankful I don't start doing those ridiculous checkboxes, which do nothing to make reading or writing more efficient. Or start saying I
crush
everything, or
smash
the game.....and then end with one of those hashtag things.
The way we express ourselves via the written word is changing way too fast for me to conprehend.

24 used to be the maximum for men but I'm not sure when they changed it to 28.

It was 28 when I began playing Ralph, but unlike you, I was not playing the game when the likes of Longhurst & Cotton were.

A team of three for me this week at The Honda:
McDowell @ 34. Based on how well he was swinging the club last week before having what looked rather like a nervous beakdown in the bracket final, hopefully he's recovered .
Sang Moon-Bae @ 120+ average price. I got obstinate and kept dripping another fiver on each time he drifted so he's now a mahoosive banzai.
Sabbatini @ 340. I can't actually stand this guy's antics but he has talent, is a C+D winner, and that price looked too big.

I've gone for Jacobsen at 29-1. Good course record and in good form.

Why can female golfers wear shorts without long socks, and have no requirement to tuck their shirts in?
We need to fight back IMO!

Will someone please arrange to have me shot if I ever put another penny on Lee Westwood who is despite an abundance of talent is incapabable of getting down in 4 shots from 200 yards when under no pressure whatsoever.
Furthermore will someone tell NBC that a leaderboard with more than 2 people on it would be a nice thing to have in a golf tournament.
