Jen and I are currently tying to jot down some descriptions of players so that when they move we can still identify them.

Quite tricky when most of the ones that we don't know are young, blonde, Scandinavian, and good looking.

Bah.

And Laz, you had JJ. Grr. No more digging up the past.  Cheesy

I can confirm that we are in the presence of former footballer Jan Molby.

A couple of chip counts for you:

Julian 'Yoyo' Thew = 9725
Pham 'Bad Girl' Xuyem = 7825

There are plenty of lovely Scandinavian ladies in there. I may pop back in and try a bit of snoopys charm.

Although it's freezing outside, it's roasty toasty indoors. I may have to go skins, but they may work against me if Im gonna try my luck with some of the local talent.

OK that's most of them identified by hoody colour...

We're 15 minutes away from the first level's end (one whole hour has therefore nearly passed) and then we will commence our early Chip Count - the busiest of the day since as far as we know they're all still in.  I heard someone say they'd taken a bet with Barny Boatman over whether or not someone would be out in ten minutes.  I think he lost.

Surprise - glad to hear from you - Isabelle is playing, and at the moment there are just too many photographers hanging round her table!  Never fear, though, we'll get a pic up soon and counts too.

Seeing as we got an early count from Snoops for Bad Girl, here she is.  She looked rather intense, ipod in, no nonsense.  But eventually noticed me trying to get her attention and gave us a lovely smile.  She's on the same table as this Jan Molby guy...

I really like this pic - two Norsemen (Sverre and Edgar) and one Frenchman (Pascal) all in a row and all looking happy.  Team Norsemen have had a pretty good run already here from what I hear talking to Woody - lots of placings in the earlier No Limit and yesterday's Omaha.  No wonder they look so chilled out.

More chippy counts:

Ooh. Chippy. I'm making myself hungry. Cod and chips please. Yum.

Anyhow, back to the chip counts:

Julian = 9350
Bad Girl = 6950
Barney = 17000  thumbs up
Isabella Mercier = 7500
Jan Molby = 9400
Chris Moneymaker = Can't see his bloomin' stack. He's selfishly covering his chips with his hands. Do these players not think about the chip counters when they're playing for thousands?!  Cheesy
Me = I've just trebled through. Then I woke up...

We're onto the next level.

Blinds are now 50/100.

The price of poker has gone up!

I think I forgot to mention that there was a little speech-filled moment before they started today's play where representatives of Casino Copenhagen told us that the prize pool was an impressive-sounding 8,000,000 Krone (still 1.1 million Euros) with 288 runners.  Thomas Kremser, the TD, took to the mic as well to tell us that they're following TDA rules etc. and then I got distracted because of Joseph Hachem's beard-type thing.  But that's a pretty good turnout (144 per day, obviously), with those who survive their day Ones playing down to just the final table on Saturday.

144 started, we're now down to 141.

Rumour has it that Rob Hollink was the first OUT.

His seat is empty, the felt is chipless, and there is a small chunk of tumbleweed blowing by.

ps. there are some very attractive dealers er... dealing.
