My son turned 8 on Monday and I bought him his first electric guitar.
Really looking forward to teaching him to be a rock god.
Let the journey begin

Here's his first ever chord.
I didn't tell him to play it like that though.
Think he's a natural Smiley

so far I've shown him A, D, G & E at the nut, plus power chords.
Going to leave him alone with that for a couple of weeks and then see if I can turn them into a few songs for him.

I'm planning to film him after every month to show him his progress.

So easy to give up at the start when it's tough.

a few songs? Oasis made a career out of those chords!

My biggest regret is not learning guitar and giving up piano!
