Ok playing a standard £30 fout with 70ish runners.

We are down to the last 23.

Blinds 400/800 crazy table except myself and 2 other competant players.

4 limpers comes to me on the button with    i also limp.

Blinds complete and we see a 9 5 9 flop.

Checks to competant guy who makes it 2k we flat, the rest fold.

Turn brings A all rainbow.

He leads 2k again, i make it 4.7 and he flats.

River brings a 2. He now leads again 2k.

Both started the hand with circa 35k which is average.

I cant make sense of his line, and my hand is screaming a 9.

What would you do here?

On the face of it, it looks simple but when you think about ranges and what happens if we get re-raised if we opt for a raise im confused as to the nut line here.

What if hes over valuing a big ace. Ive been caught at it a few times he could easily assume me to be at it here?

Then he should call not shove?

If he can do that make it 12.3k and he wont shove over that.

I'm happy enough just calling here, we don't really beat any value hands that arent going for kinda thin value with an A, so I don't think if we raise we can really get any calls from any hand that is behind. So, I just flat.

He's taken a very weird line and I'm pretty interested in what he's doing it with; he also can certainly have us beat. If our image is indeed very bluffy and floaty then definitely raise the river but without that table image I would just go ahead and flat. He could also be inducing with this sizing, but then it's just a cooler if he's got a better 9 and we could even discount some of the higher as he might choose to steal preflop with them.

I don't like your turn line, you're never bluffing ever with that sizing and if your hand does scream a 9 it's because you screamed it to him. With no flush draw out there and not much worse that will pay you off for both a turn raise and a river bet you should just flat.
