Brit Final Table Alert!

David Vamplew is on the Final Table of the $5k Eight-Handed thing.

$48,000 locked up, $553,000 to the winner.

Unless I am mis-reading something, the chips are spread around in an almost bizarrely lopsided manner. The Chip Leader has almost half the chips in play, 3,420,000, & the other 7 all have between 430,000 & 630,000 each. Blinds are 12,000/24,000/4,000.

I anticipate some laddering games.

Some other news which will thrill her many fans on blonde is about the current leader of the snappily titled $1,500 Limit Omaha/7 Card Stud Hi Low Eight or better.

Allyn Shulman.

She is not the most cheerful of souls, & she gets some pretty bad press in the more acerbic poker forums, 2+2 especially, but she won the Seniors Event last year, & has a good few other cashes to her name. The Seniors Event is easy, of course, all those old farts having to be carried to the table.......it's also full of satellite qualifiers & Russians, French & Spsnish, so it must be the softest tourney ever, right?

As an odd postscript, her hubbie, the equally popular Barry Shulman, won this event 12 years ago.

Here is Allyn in one of her better moods.

Not sure how "Event #6: $1,500 "Millionaire Maker" No-Limit Hold'em" works but it looks like there is potential for it to have more "entries" than the main event with two day 1's and 3713 entered in day 1a.

I played with her all through day 1 of this tourn and she came across as a really nice lady, helping the dealers and creating a nice atmosphere at the table. Not sure of her past, but definitely didnt come across badly to me

I don't think I've ever funked for a player to lose more than David Sands after reading this tweet:

@Doc_Sands 28 May

I don't just want to win bracelets this year, I want to shatter dreams and cause opponents to question their career choice. #WSOP

What a knob!

Yes, he's so annoying if he was heads up against Negreanu for the main event I think I would be on #teamdannyboy
