In fairness if he is ever on my table i instantly question my career choice given he takes about 5 minutes minimum per action

Yes, he's so annoying if he was heads up against Negreanu for the main event I think I would be on #teamdannyboy

Event 4 has reached the final table bubble with no GB&I interest remaining.

GB&I players in the cash:

23   Martin Malone         $9,640
39   Scott O'Reilly         $5,599
59   Craig McCorkell         $3,997
71   Sadan Turker         $3,391
79   Niall Farrell         $3,117

Note that I don't have Tighty's encyclopaedic knowledge of British players so I'm taking the lists from the WSOP pages and some players may have just registered as being from the UK.

In Event # 6, the "Millionaire Maker" ($1.2 MILLION up top) John Eames is over double average with just over 200 of the 6,343 entrants remaining.

Mr Channing departed the scene in about 270th place,  for $5,300.

Event 7 is a $1k NLHE which attracted 1837 runners of whom 186 remain

Difficult to tell how up to date the chip counts are, but it appears Padraig Parkinson and David Vamplew have cashed

Event #8: $2500 Eight-Game Mix

192 of 388 remain in this bijou field for a specialist event

Most of the big names are bracelet hunting in this but very few Brits. Stephen Chidwick is the only one listed in the counts.

Commentary on the live stream tonight is terrible, and it includes Bart Hanson. I hope they are just warming up. No chemistry in the booth, totally results oriented, contradiction on a hand by hand basis. Unwatchable in fact

Some other news which will thrill her many fans on blonde is about the current leader of the snappily titled $1,500 Limit Omaha/7 Card Stud Hi Low Eight or better.

Allyn Shulman.

She is not the most cheerful of souls, & she gets some pretty bad press in the more acerbic poker forums, 2+2 especially, but she won the Seniors Event last year, & has a good few other cashes to her name. The Seniors Event is easy, of course, all those old farts having to be carried to the table.......it's also full of satellite qualifiers & Russians, French & Spsnish, so it must be the softest tourney ever, right?

As an odd postscript, her hubbie, the equally popular Barry Shulman, won this event 12 years ago.

Here is Allyn in one of her better moods.

I spent all day in a PLO cash game with her at the Venetian 2 years ago and she was pretty chatty and friendly all day despite losing so that kinda surprises me.

got some catching up to do...

Event 7

It's early in the 2013 World Series of Poker, but the Event #7 $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em final table will no doubt go down as one of the most stacked of the summer. The day began with five amateurs who combined for $2,968 in WSOP earnings and five established pros with more than $4 million in combined earnings; what's more, two of the final table participants were seeking their second bracelet—Brent Hanks and Eric "basebadly" Baldwin.

Unfortunately for them, it was 28-year-old Matt Waxman who prevailed in a memorable final table to capture the $305,952 first-place prize and his first gold bracelet.

Place   Player   Prize
1st   Matt Waxman   $305,952
2nd   Eric Baldwin   $189,200
3rd   Jess Dioquino   $130,825
4th   Amit Makhija   $94,353
5th   Brent Hanks   $68,975
6th   Jacob Jung   $51,086
7th   Robert Dreyfuss   $38,340
8th   Tuu Ho   $29,147
9th   Jason Koon   $22,435
10th   Scott Yelton   $17,491

Event #8: Eight-Game Mix

The 8th event of the 2013 World Series of Poker is officially in the books. After three grueling days of mixed game play, it was Michael Malm who rose above the star-studded field to claim the title, the gold WSOP bracelet, and the $225,104 in first-place prize money.

Malm's story proves the old adage that is so frequently spoken at the WSOP that "Anyone can win,". Malm, who recently chopped a Daily DeepStack tournament here at the WSOP, was going to register for another but found himself too late. Registration for this event, however, was still open. He decided to hop in and give it a go. Little did he know three days ago that he would be the one to rise above some of the top professional mixed game pla

Final Table Payouts

4   Eric Crain   $64,975
5   Michael Hurey   $47,771
6   Dario Alioto   $35,634
