Event #47: One Drop High Rollers No-Limit Hold'em
EVENT IN PROGRESS:    Level: 10  |  Blinds: 2500/5000  |  Ante: 500

    Buy-in: $111,111
    Prizepool: $17,891,148
    Entries: 166
    Remaining: 109

Sam Trickett was an early exit but in so far as I can tell the Other brits Jake Cody, Darren Elias and Toby Lewis survive in a ridiculous field, as I suppose you'd expect for a $111,111 buy in

In the top 30: Renkemeier, Lamb, Glantz, Negraneau, Juanda, Bellande, Hansen, Alaei, Katchalov, for example....

Pretty certain Darren Elias is American (very good player).

Are you highlighting Irish players here Tighty? John O'Shea doing pretty well in the PLO8.

Can do. I thought Darren was from Walsall. Possibly Walsall, Illinois, then.

Hellmuth didn't play One Drop.

@phil_hellmuth

Yep, It's true, I skipped #WSOP One Drop Tourn today. I LOVE "One Drop Charity" and will continue to support it, but wasn't feeling it

Why can't he just admit he couldn't afford it/couldn't find backers?

Ouch. 2nd for Niall. Had a big chip lead and lost every showdown. Bad luck mate.

Got a feeling he'll have many more chances.

Why can't he just admit he couldn't afford it/couldn't find backers?

Surely he would have no trouble finding backers?

If Bellande can find backers, I'm sure Hellmuth can too!

Saw Hellmuth lasted 33 minutes in 100K PCA 2013 High roller, maybe he realises hes a dog in that field?

This probably. The consensus seems to be he is the best in the world at playing against amateur players but not in pro heavy fields.

He would have no problems finding backer, he has so many fanboys (like George) who would love some of his action.
