Hope Linton wins because of the no deal.

I take it the other 8 were happy to take ICM and play for the 200? Just Pete that refused?

I think seven were happy either way, or didn't express a dissenting opinion. Linton would not give the shorties equity in ICM. Gardner would not give the big stack equity under a chip count deal

The difference for Gardner was, iirc, e124k and e109k. He declined 109k on principle. probably because it minimises the possible effect of him doubling? (not sure I have explained that correctly..basically chip count chops penalise the short stack yes?)

In the first major action of the final Michalak 250,000 UTG

Gardner 500,000 otb, playing 2.4m

Michalak folds

Heven help these if Gardner gets a top three stack. Fearsomely in the zone,  real handfuls of table presence for Julian

Yup, chip chop heavily favours big stacks and penalises short stacks

I've no real malice against Pete, as I've never met him, but the poker meme is out there.

Linton eliminates Gardner in a really nasty one, and can't help looking uneasy at doing so. Devilfish is on hand...

Oh my, oh my......

Very unlucky JG.

For these sums of money, that must pinch a bit.

Guys I can only apologise. Mortified the site crashed again.

If it happens again I am putting exits and big hands on @blondepoker twitter and https://www.facebook.com/groups/2696460540/

It is simply weight of numbers trying to access the site, it blew the table in the database that allows access to the forum. Its not an old server or anything either, we pay a reasonable amount every month for a good service so its disappointing to see this happen two days on the trot

Sorry again
