This little gem seems like an appropriate topic to kick off the new season thread.  I'm sure we won't be hearing about it much over the coming weeks.

Tebow signed by the Patriots!!!

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000210586/article/tim-tebow-to-sign-with-new-england-patriots-play-qb

Will he make the final roster?
Will he take a snap during the season?
Will this thread top the 818 pages of last season?

I'm confident of a 'yes' answer to one of the above.

Should be comedy with belicheck dealing with the media circus around tebow. I don't see him taking Brady in and out of plays/ drives to try something funky so not sure how this going to work.

Was to good see the dolphins take some risks in the off season and actually try to get a winning team together. Truth it is boom or bust for the gm jeff Ireland this season and he has to get a winning team on the field or he is done. All depends on if tannehill progresses from his promising rookie season IMO.

Team I most excited about is the eagles due to my man crush on chip kelly. It sounds like he is running practices like he did it oregon, I think we will see some kind of hybrid of what he ran in college but looks we are gong to see the break neck speed offence he is famous for. In fact the whole of NFC east is even more fascinating than usual.

I can't get my head around the Tebow selection. Is Bellichek buying him so no one else can?

He can't surely be more likely to take a snap now than he was last year?

Tebow could be a good back up tight end to cover any often injured starters, maybe important for the Pats?

"Draft Day" is a film being released this year with Kevin Costner

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2223990/

Arian Foster plays the top RB in the draft, and it follows the day itself etc etc

Jennifer garner plays the Cleveland Browns capologist who runs the draft for them, here she is on set

Should be fun

Think I'll leave him off my fantasy team this season.

might be forced into taking him still, rumors going around that sheriff is making it a 4 TE league this time.

never ceases to amaze me how stupid some of these players can be, what a waste.

The prosecution case is he executed Lloyd because he talked to the wrong people and disrespected him.

That's worth spending the rest of life in prison for, can't be disrespected.

ESPN highlighting just how short pats are now for TEs. It's incredible, really, compared to a year ago.

Would dolphins be worthy of consideration for the division? They look to my ice cream eyes to be the second best team in the AFC East (sigh) and improvements make them a genuine threat. Tannehill looks the real deal.
