Yeah this. Use the Facebook tagging feature where you type @persons name so all their friends will see and start a little rail going

No, don't do this.

If people want to follow how Player X is doing in a poker tournament they can choose to do so - don't spam their news feeds.

meh, I'd still spam their news feed if they were a member of the poker rooms facebook group

Actually sorry no I'd do this, but only under the assumption you were doing a small amount of posts per hour, and no more than two @ posts about said facebook fan per day max. Anything more would really clog up news feeds, just like players who tweet their own chip updates every 20 minutes do.

Just took the dogs to the vets for his annual check up. He is very healthy I am pleased to report.

When he was young he swallowed a big dish towel in the park and we had to take him to the vets to remove it. Ever since then (and especially after we had his pride and joy removed) he has been petrified of the vets. So much so I have to carry all 32kg of him in there every single time.

I usually walk him down, its about a mile away, and a few times he has twigged what is happening about 2-300 yards away from the vets, and a couple of times I had to carry him all the way from there because he just plants his feet and refuses to go.

It's all worth it though, the term 'mans best friend' really is an understatement.

This is already an interesting thread. Looking forward to reading plenty of updates Dave. Thanks for the mention Smiley

If anyone is looking for a dog then there always loads looking for homes at the animal sanctuary my partner works at. Here is Rocko, a lovely little thing who is looking for a home.

Live streaming vs updates is an interesting one. I think in the long run live streams will get more advanced, soon we will be able to follow the action to any table with camera's and commentators easier and the interactivity teaming them up with facebook & twitter can make them as interactive as a forum update.

The best ones we get to do are for Winamax as they have the budget and creativity to make them really interesting. We do one for a freeroll every year in Paris where there are 2000 players and we can get to every table due to the layout of the place, commentators were skateboarding between the tables at one point. The French lap it up and we had over 30,000 views during the two days.

I still read the blonde ones though and they are among the best out there. Really handy for catching up after the fact as mentioned before.

This blog is not a place for spam.

But dog spam is always welcome.

The missus and I are hooked to Paul O'Grady's 'For the Love of Dogs'. POG is a die hard dog lover and the show follows Battersea Dogs Home's attempts to rehome dogs who havent had a great start in life.

If somebody likes dogs, I instantly like them. My Dad was always the same, he pretty much only remembered the names of my friends who would make a fuss of our family dogs. I think that is actually a pretty fair measuring stick of personality.

For those that don't know, Mike and his team put on some fantastic and dare I say, very affordable live streams for poker events like the GUKPT, Winamax Tours and they even did a live stream of a PokerStrategy event we did.

Aplogies, can't resist if we are on the topic of dogs. We have been missing having a dog for years since our last boxers passed away and then we had the wee one and work got busy etc. Eventually came to the conclusion that any additional effort is far outweighed by the fun with of a dog in the house.....

So meet Dexter, he will probably be getting a brother or sister once he is settled in  Smiley

Good name, good breed. I have several friends who have boxers and they are fantastic, boisterous but not aggressive, and very good around kids. Actually they are just like big staffies in that regard (I love staffies too).

My dog is a real wimp but he loves boxers because he likes doing that face-to-face play fighting that boxers tend to do (hence their name).

Yay! A place for proud dad's to post dog pics! Can't recommend having two dogs highly enough. The fun they have together is massive. Every time I take our idiots out they make me laugh at some point.
