Mandaric is doing eactly what he did with us

He'll sack Jones, bring in someone to stabilise it, try and stay up..all the while  not investing in the team in the hope of flipping it on to an overseas owner.

He's an asset trader, and a good one too...but the good times will roll for Wednesday if and when he does sell to a wealthy buyer as a "trophy"

unless of course the owners do what they did with us, and waste the investment (£100m) on inflated transfers, contracts, though under FFP the investment has to be lower these days

There is already someone interested in the club, apparently the ex Birmingham owners, but according to Mandaric (which I do not believe), he 12 months ago had already put £20m in and another year has passed, I do not see much margin, if any. But then again, I do not see how he sold Leicester for £40 (although I am sure you will tell me).

I don't listen to Radio Sheffield that much Sherrif, but I think it is common knowledge Jones isn't keen on Madine. It is going to be a long hard season for all of South Yorkshire, once again, even at this early stage.

Championship table flatters to deceive with Blackpool up near the top.

We got very lucky away versus Donnie - and then needed a last minute own goal to beat Barnsley at home.  Very good that we have won 2 x '6 pointers'...but I think we've struggled against 2 relegation rivals. I still think we're gonna be in deep doo-doo come the end of the season...

Least you got the two wins, no matter what the opposition its a good solid start. Ince will do well to get them mid table with limited resources.

Oh yeah agree. The trouble is we have an abundance of resources...we're literally loaded!!! BUT the chairman is taking his prudent policy too far..well...to the point of taking big dividends out of the club....but not spending on players...and leaving acquisitions until way too late into the transfer window

We are away to Leeds at the weekend, expecting a loss, but somehow think we could get our first point, in the middle of a somewhat injury crisis

at least we are not the only ones then

orlandi, bridcutt, bruno, CMS, hoskins, chicksen already out of which 4 are 100% starters, and possibly even CMS would start in this long ball style.

I don't think Bridcutt is injured at all, Andrews comes in as a sudden loan for the season combined with this 'injury' makes it look like Bridcutt is off

Great that the Leeds vs Sheff game is on TV but its Cat A. tickets! Brighton was on average £15 cheaper to watch and not on TV. Makes no sense, still expect  28k + if Sheff bring a boat load.

Leeds against Wednesday, live on Sky and hardly any run up around this for some weird reason. Weirdly enough, I don't have that much of an interest in Leeds, yet everyone would call them "Leeds scum", but I am all meh, it's actually not one of the fixtures I look out for in the season.

I can't seem to work out why Leeds are 11/10 in some places to beat us, I would have them as odds on shots and most bookies are around the same mark. We are down to the bare bones and now have given Madine a holiday along with JJ being suspended. I was going to put this in for TfT, but market is tight, no value to be had, but for me, Leeds are looking a bet here.

We are not very creative either, which is disappointing and assuming with how poor our defence is, I would assume we would need to get on the scoresheet to get anything.

Stephen ward joins us on loan, finally a left back.

If he gets to the form he had a couple of years ago it will be a good move for us. A lot of height in our team now.

lol I knew things were going badly at Brighton, but ouch.

He is without doubt my most hated player, mainly because of how he featured so heavily for Ireland and it's annoying how much first team experience he is getting with decent clubs, when his ability shouldn't allow it. It felt amazing to see what Zaha did to him twice when we won 1-2 at their gaff.

I very much doubt you will like him.

Wolves fans seem to like him.

Besides, it's not like we've signed a striker whose scored 3 league goals in 3 years is it....

He'll come good imo.

When was the last time you see me act like a bit of a prick on here? Pretty rare. But Stephen Ward brings it out of me. I think everyone has that one player.

You weren't acting like a prick, just giving an opinion! I've only seen him play upfront away to Liverpool and down at Amex last game of the season.

We will see how he does but considering we don't even have a proper left back it is a positive move for us.

He's no Wayne Bridge.

I think Garcia will come good with you by 10 games btw, I think you are suffering a huge hangover from the joke situation with Gus Poyet, perhaps the terrible effect of that won't go until the court case has been settled but at least he isn't around the place.

Was looking at the payment options for Seagulls Player this year and this made me rofl:

Step 5: Choose method of payment

You have chosen: £37.99 : Annual Direct Debit or £42.99 Annual Credit Card

Please choose an option below to be directed to a secure payment area.

Pay by credit or debit card (sorry, AMEX is not accepted)

That and on Sky, if you pick and choose games televised ones will be missed?. Loads of empty seats Leicester vs Leeds last week too?

Not a dig btw

I'm sure any Forest Sky games will suffer too (apart from vs Derby probably).

yes there were empty seats at Leicester/Leeds too

Leicester tickets for a home game are £35-39 for a non corner seat. Just too much for a load of people if its on the TV
