If it is the last 48 hours I think I deserve a cut for motivating him by mentioning him in a "whatever happened to thread"

sad new about JT Law i am sure it was tikay that introduced him to me in blackpool
he made sure i got my wheels across the tram lines and i didnt get mugged on way back from casino to my hotel
he didnt understand i wasnt bothered about getting mugged and a blow to the balls normally stops a mugger
and i never have much money anyway but its the thought that counts

John Law passed away this morning?

No?

That is absolutely terrible news.

I don't have Facebook, but I'd be keen to hear more as to the circumstances, & pass on my condolescences to his family.

RIP John, a truly lovely man.

Wow, that is so sad.

Really sad news.

When I was at Teesside University and first started playing poker at gala teesside circa 2003ish he was one of the regulars and got to know him. He was such a nice man and an excellent player.

I remember when he finished 2nd in a WSOP event and the whole of teesside cardroom was cheering him on, he was very unlucky not to win it losing a huge pot heads up when he had the best of it til the river - ak v a5 if i remember correctly.

Genuinely nice man and had a great smile.

There is a tournament at Rainbow Casino Teesside on 5th of December £10 rebuy tournament with  a percentage going to charity in memory of John.

I moved away from Middlesbrough a few years ago so thats all the info I have through friends.

Just seen the posts regarding John Law, guys obviously a massive hero, really had some heart and could play when he didn't just want to gamble. One of the most fun guys to have at the table, never saw him get in the slightest bit angry. I got a seat in the £10r and could ask about getting anyone else in who fancied it. Not sure if there are any seats remaining though. 24hr cash game supposed to be running at some point too.
