Would need more info on scouser and our perceived opinion of how barrely he will be.

Quick note would be that 3bet size is a little small, with stack sizes I'd going to around 50 pre.

As played I would just fold

From std perspective - turns v hard to play its unlikely he will bluff if we hit a straight as ur range looks incredibly qx heavy and if we improve to 2 pair were not comfortable putting more chips in

From gto pov - it doesn't matter if we 3bet and hit top pair and fold, we have a lot of,combos that we still continue with for sure here, kq being pretty far down the list in terms of hand strength on this board texture.

I just wouldn't get into an ego war hoping he's barreling with pair and gunshots. Just take a few seconds and make a easy decision for yourself (ie in how to play the remainder of the hand) stress free and continue to take the std profitable fish lines.

id been told he was quite aggro on previous table but his first hand at this table...

Other than that, thought same as pleno...

No backdoor spades either. Just fold and get'em next time. 3b bigger too, why so small if your not scared of a shortie shoving on you?

no shorties..

3b smaller to keep decent spr, happy to change bet sizes pre and post to suit.

I folded figuring I have a medium strength hand considering the board and with eff 2 behind me, who both likely check monsters expecting a cbet I just cant really do anything here.

He got to showdown and won with K6o...

40 can actually get some folds and that is nice both short term as it gives us momentum and long term because if we do this enough we can build a throne of money.

Live hands are hard to analyse on a forum, so much is read dependant. We do have quite a good hand.

I think you made a very good fold here Johnny boy.

We have pretty much the bottom of our value range on board that is not very good for us. There are a lot of bad turn cards for our hand, and some of the cards that improve our actual hand may well be dirty. We've also got to be prepared to face more bets OTT and OTR, and as I said, I don't think our hand can really improve from now, because if it does, it seems unlikely that we'll actually win much as a result. A 10 would pretty much just kill the action, a Q is a really gay card, and a K realistically changes very little, except we can now beat J9. Prolly don't win more money from that hand on turns like this. I'm with Adam too that the backdoor flush draw gives us a pretty neat way to improve, which would make me lean more towards a call in this marginal spot.

The fact that he is tilting means that we will almost certainly be facing further bets, and by calling here, we should realise this and be willing to commit our whole stack to the hand IF we make the flop call. If it comes brick brick, it's pretty much a hero call and hope he has K6 OTR. Even though it turns out you had the best hand here, I don't think it's + EV long term. Especially, as you pointed out, with two people behind.

That said, in game, I prolly flick it in :p Although I do make it 50 odd pre, so I might even ship on him OTF in this case.

Very disciplined fold sir. Please come to DTD, we miss you.

I wouldn't normally try so hard, but didn't have another opportunity I could wait for. I wasn't ready to surrender what I WANTED SO MUCH, that easily, I couldn't guarantee a call with me staying stoic and relying on a flinch "top pair" calling reflex.

Since when do you fold top pair and a gutter ball?!?! What has happened! I'm definitely with TL here though, never folding to 1 bet IP, although, turn can get quite grim.

we're good here a huge amount of the time, tilting live guys don't lead sets/straight here they c/r it, only worry is he MIGHT have K9, maybe KJ but that's pretty much all you lose too in my experience.

Is this some kind of hilarious practical joke?

Quick reply. Call and evaluate turn, probably folding a decent chunk depending on sizing and timing/general demeanour of villain.
