6 max needs 200 runners to meet the guarantee, so i would think that it wouldnt be capped??? depends on how many day2 runners are still in at 6pm i supose??

Just a reminder, the 6 Max has TWO x Day 1's, today & tomorrow.

It is likely that there may be waiting lists or Alternates initially today, but 100 or more exits from the Main can be expected by 6pm or so.

Late Reg in the 6 Max is until approx 9pm (I think) today.

Extra Tables are being installed right now (11.45am Friday), so, fingers crossed, there should be capacity for almost 100 runners from the get-go, which will steadily increase all afternoon.

Have to say, I was very impressed today with the organisation of the comps at dtd. I did ask a couple of times on here how they were gonna fit everyone in. I needn't have bothered. Well done all.

Alex Spencer Crowned the first ever Sky Poker UK Poker Champion

20 year-old Alex Spencer is the UK Poker Champion and £125,000 richer after defeating Danny Blair heads-up.

The Sky Poker UK Poker Championship came to a finale last night as nine of the original field of 621 sat down in their quest to become UK Poker Champion.  Doncaster’s Alex Spencer took home the title and £125,000 winner’s cheque in the culmination of  a spectacular week long poker festival at Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham that saw prize pools of over £1.1m generated across six events and all guarantees smashed.

Spencer, who is a 20 year-old student, is on something of a tournament heater at the moment. He’d won the Sheffield 25-25 series and final-tabled the DTD Deepstack, as well as making a deep run in the GPS Star City in the previous month. The win at the UK Poker Championship is his biggest accolade to round off the poker purple patch.

Allan Graham, who qualified via Sky Poker for £2.80, will be delighted with his 8th place finish for £12,500, while Deborah O’Connell turned her £1 online satellite win on DTD Online into a 7th place final table spot and £16,000.

I don't have them to hand right now, but I believe Episode 1 will air on March 18th, after Monday Night Football I imagine.

I'll let you know the exact date, time, & channel, nearer the time.

Currently, the footage is in Edit, & I believe Show # 1 is almost complete, & so the Commentary will get laid on next.

Episodes 1 - 4 may not be exactly to your taste if you are looking for serious poker, it's aimed at a wider audience. Episodes 5 & 6 will be exclusively from the Final Table, hole-card technology, the lot.

I think you'll be delighted about the identity of one of the Commentators, who is making his TV commentating debut, but is a VERY accomplished player.  Bit of a gamble, it'll either be sheer genius (great decision by Sky Poker) or a total disaster (my fault), but I'm pretty sure you'll approve.

I've had several people, including the Hon Chinese Frankie, enquire what time "2500" & "2600" (in the above tx schedule) are.

Apologies for not explaining/decoding that.

Internally, at Sky TV, they have what amounts to a 28 hour clock, simply to draw distinction between different days, as a lot of Shows "run over" Midnight. It tends to get very confusing when that happens.

2500 = 1am.

2600 = 2am

There is no such time as 0100 or 0200 in the way Programmnes are scheduled. All very odd, I agree, but that's just how it is.
