pretty sure there are many many tales out there, here's one from circa 2006.
there was $5k event with a $1m guarantee in goa so a few of us headed over.
joey lovelady, dubai, the boatmans, too many to mention plus my memory is shot to pieces - will always remember ben eating/gagging-on slices of fresh pineapple coated in sand at $20 a pop.
