Speith a silly price this week imo especially when he has generally followed a good performance with a mediocre one and also didn't play well over c & d last year.

Anyway my first round leader picks are Keegan B and Ryan Palmer.

also whats happened to the 6 places this week?  Odd that all 3 bookies not playing - monopoly commission enquiry please!

Gone for Brendon Todd in the Byron N.  Yes he is a journeyman, but he is having his best ever season.  I had a look at the past performance of second round leaders at the venue and they do really well: 4 wins, 5 2nds 1 3rd 4 others.

I def think there is value in the 8-1 (shybet miniscule extra value with the 9-1 1/5 odds).

I had a small EW on Huh(what?) @ 80/1 pre-event which I forgot to mention on Thursday as I was busy hacking it all over the place myself that afternoon with a giant Scotsman who relieved me of my hard-earned pretty effortlessly. |

I didnt back Jordy pre event for the first time since whenever.
However I did back him at 33s when he was even par early doors.

He starts so slowly I think this may well be the new way to extract value from him. He's into 18s and I expect a good round today and then get the 3-1 lay in at some stage.!

For something to rail this weekend, I chucked a fiver each way on 2 SL selections for the Spanish tourney - Pepperell and Grillo
I only remembered just now, so had a look and it appears that Pepperrell was cruising at 5 under after 2. Only to ping a nice 7 over today, to leave him way down the field...

 what a man Jimenez is
Overused desription but Miguel truly is a boss. As a cigar afficionado myself I appreciate the fact hat he's fired up a Cohiba when accepting the trophy, and I'm sure he'll be drinking a bottle or two of something else I approve of tonight, and then there's that rather fetching young senorita he's about to wed.. |

Zach J has a redic good record at Colonial, but I can't bring myself to back him at such short odds particularly when he seems to be a bit out of form.  Jordan played well here last year but also too short for me.

Seems like its going to be a little bit of wind - slightly more in the afternoon , a few I fancied for first round leader were off in the afternoon so giving them a pass as well.

So just sticking with the (so far hopeless) plan of backing Rickie F on courses where he has played well.  Also putting him in as 1rl as he has an early start.
