So with Rory such a short price, PP's 6 places are a bit more relevant than with 16s the field.  I've had a bit on Paul Casey as he played well last week and has course form.

Also anyone looking to back EW in these markets where Rory is quite short

http://www.oddschecker.com/golf/honda-classic/top-gb-and-ireland

http://www.oddschecker.com/golf/honda-classic/top-european

can use the calculator half way down this page http://www.sportspreadsheet.com/golfdecision.html

to compare the variety of place terms and win odds

eg 40-1 3 places 1/4 odds is a lot better than 33-1 4 places 1/5 odds.

Small interests in Patrick Reed and DrNoh.

I quite fancy Brooks Koepke but 33/1 seems a little short what with him paired with Rory and so might jump aboard IR.

Also had a speculative EW dabble on Moraya Jutanugarn @150/1 in the ladies'.

It was like watching The Open wasn't it?

Sort of  aftertiming I know, but as it occurred to me that laying Rory might have been a good idea as it was going to be windy, but no takers as it was too close to him teeing off.

Just say for instance you had a smal wager on Patrick Reed @50 to win.

With this rain-delay and the multiple-chance of a 54-hole tourney/Monday finish/36-hole finish and you had the chance to lay @3.7.

WWYD?

I know it's thin but the bet was posted and the quandary is genuine.

Think I would lay for stakeback or small profit and freeroll the rest?

I know plenty do not like it but I lay off at least my stake and take a freeroll/small profit.

Particularly at the moment with no real solid form in either tour. Look at last weeks results, winners came out of nowhere

I finally succumbed and laid a bit @2.6 this morning.

I still want Reed to win although doubleup might have other ideas.

Not much fun for Poults fans, though.

Paul Casey has tied 2nd and 3rd in his last 2 PGA events so is in decent form.  He is available at 45/1 with Stan and 55 on BF for this weeks WGC event.  That must represent decent value and I'm backing him E/W at that price!
