Amazing how they spoke about the game. Never did anyone mention the blinds, or what their stack was in terms of big blinds.

My favourite bit was when the guy who bubbled said he had 70,000 and it was costing him 20,000 a round to play (I guess 4k, 8k with 1k ante so he had about 9 bbs) and he shoved over an open (which presumably wasn't a min open) and said "the only hand he can call with is two aces".

Mad Marty story about the cones probably tops it all though, in hysterics about how he caused his girlfriend to have a motorbike accident and break both her legs. What a hero!

Did anyone ever find a copy of poker kings anywhere?

still got mine...

Think if you have any photo processing places near you then most do VHS to DVD conversion.  Know everyone would really appreciate it!

its on dvd already

Should be easy to convert.  If you are going to DTD soon then def take it with you, I'm sure someone would be able to help.

I remember watching all these tv shows years ago. What show was it with Joe Beavers winning a motorbike on a boat?  I also remember another poker show with Jac Arama playing backgammon.

This one was good    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-Q5ZNqv4p0

Years ago I also remember watching a poker tv show about a young guy from the UK who tried to turn a profit using another guys money. I have no idea who It was . I have a feeling the UK player who was sponsored by Blue Square/pokerstars  was also on the show.  My memory fails me regarding names, etc.

lol,  he did ok I guess.  I have been trying to find the name of the other player. He was a young online guy as well like JP Kelly. I seem to remember he made a good start and made some money only to lose it by the end of the show. He lived at home with his parents in the show.

That's probably like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

I can't get over the bloke with the brummy sounding accent and his traffic cones story, with potentially one of the longest traffic jams in history haha.

Probably mad Marty lol. Don't know him at all but I remember him just jumping up onto stage at one of the ladbrokes cruises back in the day and giving his rendition of sweet Caroline. He doesn't lack confidence that for sure!! lol

The line on how many times Marty has told that tale must be huge, I'd take the overs on 1,000.

If only the tale were true.

He tells a tale about trying to get off a charge for drink driving which is even funnier.

If you ever play poker with him ask him to tell the tale. You won't regret it I promise.

Please don't ruin the great mental image I have right now by telling me the story a load of rubbish!
