You didn't want a discipline within "Biathlon" then?

Not sure exactly what the question means, however... I did uhm and arr about putting Biathlon together but they made the effort to be more descriptive in the answer and I was happy to keep them seperate. But I could put them back together if everyone agrees.

If Snowboarding is incorrect because it is an overall descriptor then biathlon is also incorrect surely

point taken, I was trying to avoid a skiing or snowboarding answer but have caught myself out Smiley

i didnt just say biathlon i gave an event in the biathlon

and you got an ace Wink

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tina_Maze

please have a read of this and then correct my answer for Q2!!!

She hadn't won them by the 17th Feb

fair enough. I do think that having two questions on the winter olympics and then putting two very challenging conditions on the questions has dissipated the quality of the quiz.

Remember, the point of an RSQ is LOTS of OBVIOUS answers. I wonder how many countries did have 2 golds a week ago?

If you really wanted these questions, then why not "name a winter olympic sport" and "name a country that has won an olympic gold at sochi 2014". Suddenly, both questions are much easier to guess, no one has to waste a pass, and you get more entries! Et Voila!

I understand what you were saying, for the first one I wanted to create bit of difficulty but considering it was on I assumed people would have a greater awareness of the events. As for the second one there were 13 countries with 2 medals when the question was set.

We found 8 correct answers between 13 of us and at least one of the incorrect answers was a spoof

I mean, basically, if you didn't have a go straightaway then you wouldn't know though would you. Did myself by trying to be clever and not checking the schedule, considering I actually knew what bloody events she won as well cos they were talking about it whilst I watched the slalom. :/
