Pfft. Variance eventually collared me.

Report in Diary soon. Ugly stuff.

Anyway, I'm rooting for "The Mad Norweigan" to win it. This lad makes Dubai look like a nit. Quality degen of the highest order. Love him to bits.

Afraid not, he is currently sat next to me writing his Bluff Europe article that was due in November 2012.

Wowzer, great timing. Here's the last piece of nonsense I penned for Bluff Europe. Seamless spam.

I name the Best Prit performance (imo) @ the WSOP this year. Betcha can't guess my nominee.

Now go away whilst I write the next one, which was due in a week ago. Deadlines, schmeadlines.

thank you

the initial aim was that of course not many readers over there know many of the people on the poker scene, so i thought i would tell them a bit more about them, as far as i know, and tell them what they've won etc

everyone on here knows who dan carter is, or steve watts. over there, different audience

of course, me being me, it then led off in another direction in the odd case

Yup, Tighty at his best.

Ryan Spittles made millions breeding racing pigeons and at his home in Buckinghamshire he spends his spare time nursing injured pigeons back to racing health

This, of course, is when he is not grinding online, playing live or appearing as an analyst on your telly box

Recently Ryan diversified his birds business into selling budgerigars and parrots to pet shops, and from there onto consumers. His contract with Pets at Home is so large that it is reputed he will be in the Sunday times rich list at the end of the year

Ryan lives alone. Smething to do with 37 bird cages in his bathroom

We're anticipating a big field in tomorrow's UKPC 6-Max Main Event.

If you are coming down and want to reserve your seat you can do so via our shop here.

chips will be in play from the start but you are guaranteed a seat and will avoid what may be long alternate queues

Question

Someone who is thinking about playing asked me the following question and I didn't know the answer.  The event is £500k gtd £1k (£900+£100) buy in.  If there are 440 runners what is the actual prize pool the players are playing for after deductions?  Same question if there is 480 runners?  Same question if there are 525 runners?

I didn't know the answer as the rake is taken out of the prize pool. His point was is the min prize pool £500k after deductions which is what £500k gtd implies?

Hi I referred this one through to Nick at DTD

His response was as follows

"Players are playing for £500k - £50k of fees so prizepool for up to 500 runners will be £450k paid out

525 runners makes a pool of £525k less £52500"

Okay. This is the big one to try and hit - the £500,000 main event. Had various messages and questions about bits and bobs, Simon Aces Trumper is in the final of the PLO so I will try my best to deputise - so here you go:

1. Yes- everyone will get in tomorrow that turns up, 6-max breaks down really quickly so even of you're on the alternates list - you won't have to wait long - with late reg and alternates/players busting we could easily get 400+ in during the late reg period which is 7 levels till 9pm (of course, we don't expected that number but my point is don't worry - you will get in if you turn up)

2. We currently have 200 pre-registrations for tomorrow, including the 10 seat sat winners tonight, that means we need 331 players tomorrow to make the £500,000, so that's 131 walk ins we need

3. Yes- tomorrow Day 1c is a Freezeout. Players who have busted day 1a and/or Day 1b can re-enter into tonorrows day 1c - but I repeat - it's then a freezeout

4. So far 11 players have re-entered from day 1a, we always expected re-entries to be a very small number at £1K buy with a next day only re-entry policy

5. Blinds start at 100-200 with 50,000 chips, even if you arrived between 3.20pm and 4.20pm - you would still be buying in for 100 big blinds at 250-500 level, its a 1 hour clock throughout

6. I don't know whether we will make the £500K GTE, I would say it's odds against because we only got 53 walk ins on day 1c of the PokerStars 6-Max last year, so we would need to almost triple that number tomorrow to make the £500,000.

7. No Stefarno Del Watto there is no dress restrictions during 3rd party events, track suits are allowed!

Good luck to you all and good luck to us lot aswell. Doing a £1M 6-max series is never nailed on, so far - so good - but the make or break of the festival will be tomorrow's final number.

Cheers Rob

So what was paid out for the PLO - £45k rather than £50k?
