A rec in the CO open limps. BB is either a rec or a nit.
Thoughts on:
1) What our raising range should look like from the SB 2) Completing range
Cheers

1) big broadways/ hands that flop top pair enough 2) 83s or better.

Are we really completing 83s? That's pretty tight according to Tom Dwan. Fwiw, I do similar stuff to picken here. Any two cards above a 9 are good for a raise, any thing suited and connected below that are good for completing. It seems im a little tighter than adam in my completing range though! Also probably raising 88+, flatting 77-.

I'd raise every pair.
I'd complete just about everything with the exception of utter junk 72o 82o etc and I'd raise all suited connectors. K8, Q8, JT etc and anything broadway/broadway, prolly every Ax too although I miiigggghhhht consider just completing the worse ones for the old "never has an ace he didn't raise" trickery if you are lucky enough to flop one :-p
This is FR live poker yeh?

Adams range looks good.
I'd never raise bad ax here or small pairs, I can see how small pairs could potentially be good though. Build a pot I guess.
Would be far more inclined to raise 95s than a4o though.

Are we really completing 83s? Only were going for a triple range merge down the streets.

Didn't have a particular format in mind but would you change your ranges based on one or the other?

a lot depends on rake structure for live ranges too.

Didn't have a particular format in mind but would you change your ranges based on one or the other? Yes massively, when I made posts ITT I was working on the assumption it was 8/9handed live NLHE. Changes massively if its online 6max, for me anyways.

It seemed like I could face this exact same spot across all formats so figured ranges would be the same, but i could be missing something. Be interested to know why there is a difference and how you'd adjust.

Live people are deeper and have weaker ranges whereas online people tend to be a bit more clued up. Lower the stakes the more significant rake is so tighten up there, also some live games have a larger than usual cap meaning you should also tighten up.

Well I defo wouldn't raise 33 in an online game, but defo would in a live game, generally speaking, like Adam said, in love games stacks tend to be deeper and often slightly weaker stnd of play so can expect postflop to be easier - speshly when you have the advantage of being able to see everyone. You might see the BB playing with his chips, or look like he's n waiting to go t the bathroom etc and change you're mind that way.
Online I think you should be a fair bit tighter with what you're opening - would still complete a fair old chunk though
