It's been a multiway pot,mew get to the river and I'm heads up and in position, oop player checks. Dealer says show down and takes his cards and turns them over but I didn't check.

What is the ruling?

You should still have full options available to you as player should protect his cards, and dealer taken out back and reminded the rules

You absolutely have all the options, I think in fairness though player A has to have option to raise if you bet as well.

Not quite sure what a pokemon is doing in the pot in the first place. Personally, I'd throw a master ball at him.

Cliffs:

Online pro in live comp spends four months over every decision. Dealer loses patience.

And this is one of the reasons dealers don't flip players hands JK right.
Pretty poor that this would happen.

Is this self dealt Pleno lol

I don't get why a dealer should ever table a hand unless the player says he can turn them over

Lol at dealer turning over cards.

You have all options available. Villain has no aggressive action, he should be protecting his own hand and not allow the dealer to turn cards over.

Is this definitely the full story? Did the dealer instantly flip the players hand when he said showdown? Sounds weird. Did he say "showdown", then pause, then flip the cards? because if he did, somebody should have pointed out that there was still action during the pause. If thats the case, then it would infact be showdown.

That crazy Spanish hand where the boy tries to rep quads proves otherwise!
