Southampton FC is delighted to confirm that Ronald Koeman is our new First Team Manager. #saintsfc

now all we need is for him to try and hold onto as much of the squad as he can and get us a striker
seemingly he has an agreement to sign some dutch CB from celtic for 8 or 9 million squid

ffs he has only just got his foot in door already hearing he has

dirk van dyke from celtic danny ings from burnley all set to sign
and that his top target is lex immers from feyenooryd
would be much better to try and keep some of the players if you can

Seems a very sensible appointment. A good fit with the club tactically and with the background of youth development.

The key for Saints this season will be in the transfer market. Lallana, Shaw, Lovren are probably 90%> to leave. Lambert needs replacing and we need more strength at centre back, striker, goal keeper. Realistically will need 6-7 new faces this Summer.

I am just hopeful that we can get through having a 'transition' year as there are plenty of weak premier league sides that we should be better man for man and tactically. Expecting Saints to spend >50 million this Summer - interesting to see where that goes. The scouts have done really well over the last few seasons so hope the targets are there already and Koeman can attract a few more.

He has made feyenoord a defensively excellent side, with their defense now forming the backbone of the Netherlands team. Tactically intelligent, can see him doing well.

After panty raiding the scousers first game of season, which will be interesting after all the could be transfers, the saints have a good fixture list till December again this year. Hopefully koeman can take as much advantage as  MP did last year to our easy fixtures

That sounds good to me. Means Lallana will probably also have a large price-tag on him and Liverpool can look elsewhere for a player of his quality at a fraction of the cost.

reason teams are after the likes of lallana and shaw is ECL they need a certain number of players in squad that were trained at club and in country

luke shaw wouldnt even need registered in squad for 2 years so allows an extra player to be added
