Good thread Rick

Like one bet in the football league this weekend and a bigger one in Spain.

Ryan Brobbel is a young winger on loan at Hartlepool from M'boro. He scored 5 goals in 16 games for York last season and went on loan again last week.

The Pool caretaker boss played 4-3-3 last time out and looks set to do so again, Brobbel played in the front three and had four shots one of which i believe hit the bar.

At 16/1 first and 6/1 any worthy of a small bet

gd lk all

Thanks Horsey, had a small bet on him at 18/1 e/w.

Fred's Goals Galore Coupon

Guy I follow on twitter had £150 @ 9/2 on

Brazil
Bristol City
Port Vale

Matches both teams to score

Without the coupon with Fred the odds are 2.54 which is ridiculous, best odds other than that are Laddies at 4.5 so a bit of value ontop of that as we are getting it at 5.5. I've had a play. Opinions?

Looks like a bit of value Omm.

Bf markets make it 4.66 so a slight bit of value although that may be negated by it being a treble.

Rather frustrating afternoon.

Ending level.

Plymouth won at 2/1, Orient were 1-0 up until 90th minute with 10 men but game ended 2-2 and Portsmouth only managed a draw with Mansfield.

I gave up betting on Portsmouth early last season but was convinced they would be too strong for a weakened Mansfield side.

Brobbel had a chance at 0-0 but skewed it

Pearce was not even in squad which was strange and annoying

Had these bets for Saturdays football so far :

Sheff Wed v Watford

Wednesday play a counter attacking style, more effective away from home and score very few goals.

Watford are going to be in the promotion mix for me and I think they are definite value at 12/5. I think they should be shorter

Arsenal v Hull

Hull have only lost one game this season by 2 goals and that was against Man City, they are decent going forward and scored in every Premiership game this season.

I like Hull plus 2 goals on the handicap at 5/6.

Cheltenham v Northampton

I have commented on Cheltenham's lack of goals before on this thread, they have scored 4 goals in their last 6 games and are struggling.

Northampton are a different team this season but have just lost top scorer Marc Richards, who has scored 8 goals this season, to injury.

Northampton are 2/1 - if Richards was fit I would have backed them, I'm a little cautious now, so not backed them yet, perhaps Tighty or anyone else has an opinion.

Might add others later this week.

A couple of anytimes for Burnley v West Ham today:-

Downing 15/2
Tomkins 14/1 in a few spots, general 12/1

Tomkins stats are great in the opposition box. Close but no cigar last week so going again. Expect West Ham to have a good go.

Downing is an interesting one, never been a goalscorer but he is now moving into a slot behind the strikers which makes the price appealing. He moved back deeper last week against QPR but will be further forward this week with Noble coming back in. When he does play further forward his stats are good for involvement in the box so had a small interest.

Giving Ryan Brobbel another go at 16/1

Nice work Rick

Have added to the Valencia bet with another bet a chunky one on over 1.5 goals for Valencia in the first half at 9/2

making a lot of excuses at present

Lots of games today.

So far I'm on these :

Crewe v Peterborough

I get the impression from Chompy's posts on TFT that Peterborough were hitting some form and starting to score more freely recently.

Crewe have won a couple of games but I think they will struggle to cope with Peterborough.

I like Peterborough -1 goal at 9/4.

Morcambe v York

Morcambe have had a tough run of games and York have a new manager which I think distorts the view of the odds compilers.

Morcambe beat Burton in their last game which wasn't an easy game and I think they should be shorter given the opposition.

Looks like Morcambe have no new injury worries so I'm on them at 15/8.

One more.

Colchester v Chesterfield

Under the radar I think Paul Cook has developed Chesterfield into a decent unit.

In their last 3 away games against Bristol City, Doncaster and Preston, they have scored 7 goals.

Impressed by their relative resilience even when falling behind in games.

I'm on Chesterfield at 7/4.

I was tempted by Accrington to beat Hartlepool at 13/10 but talked myself out of that one.

Couldnt have gone much worse, your selections had the added weight of my cash Rick.  Should have warned you pre kick off.

I also backed overs in the Bournemouth game and laid it back at half time for a loss.  I run so good.
