Only 5 of the 10 contestants knew the band, and three passes used

Possible they knew but were rightly ashamed to admit it ?

Honestly don't ever remember hearing that song before. It does sound like countless other Cowell-tastic boy band bollocks though, so I possibly have.  If I don't listen to Radio 1, don't have kids, I'm probably fortunate enough to be able to avoid that ear haemorrhage-inducing pile of tosh.

5 "There ain't no use in you crying
Cause I'm more hurt than you
I should not been out flirting
But now my love is true"

The most difficult question in the quiz

Well done to Nakor, impressive

Redsgirl and kinboshi hit the crossbar, as eddie grant was of course the lead singer of the equals before he walked down to electric avenue etc

I didn't know, until researching, that Grant wrote this when struggling with controlling his toddler walking in Jamaica in 1967

The Equals 1968

Didn't even know there was a band called The Equals!

2004?  Didn't realise it was that early.

Do like Green Day, but Dookie is my favourite album.  Saw them perform at a festival in Japan at the bottom of Mt Fuji in the late 90s.

Got the album on cassette and used to listen to it when I was doing my paper-round.  Would have put money on it being '89.

Haha - a dead heat!

Great quiz Mr End.  Would happily do that again.  Got an idea for a music-related quiz myself, and if I get a chance will do it over the weekend.
