Normal service will resume from 4th Feb, weather permitting. In the mean time here's a couple more photos from the fabulous Grabd Palace Bangkok.

I don't fly all that often now - and even though I'm a geek - inflight WiFi still seems like voodoo.

Ooh, good spot, they have those "window dimmer" things instead.

I initially assumed Dreamliner as the windows looked so big in Grant's photo, & Dreamliner has the biggest windows of any Civil Passenger Aircraft.

1-0 Woodsey.

Clearly a knockdown, I make that 2-0 Woodsey.

It was a 757-200 tikay, was supposed to be a 737 Max 8...

Spent a long weekend in Iceland, somewhere the missus has always wanted to go. I have no idea how the locals afford to live there unless they're all on mega wages. A few 'highlights':

regular 2 course meal for 2, no alcohol: £170
two beers each in a bar with some cashews: £52
entrance to a small museum: £38 each
Bottle of wine in a restaurant: £50 min
Cafe coffee: £7
Cafe slice of cake: £11
G & T: £20

And my favourite, we went into a supermarket to grab some things for lunch and breakfast (it was £28 each in the hotel):
2 sandwiches, 2 500ml bottles of water, 2 large yoghurts, small packet of cakes: £42.

Bloody hell thats come back a bit! First went about 25 years ago and it was as you describe, insanely expensive. Went again after their banking crisis and it didn’t seem too bad, looks like it’s reverted to type again.....
