Margeret Thatcher's "Battle Bus" is up for Auction, & the auctioneers expect it to make £25,000. Optimistic.

Can Top Gear survive?

As a general rule, when a Show is built around such a charismatic host, they never survive the loss of the Host.

The ever popular Michael O'Leary had two winners at the Cheltenham Festival yesterday.

Interviewed afterwards, he was the perfect gent, being polite, humble, deferential & respectful.

I wonder which is the real Michael - the acerbic & massively successful businessman, or the nice chap we saw yesterday?

He owns the very successful Gigginstown House Stud, where, somewhat surprisingly, he also breeds Angus cattle. Who'd have thought?

I never knew until recently that he's Northern Irish. His accent is, to my English ears, much further south than his Antrim family were on the TV yesterday. Did he move to a jockey school in the Republic at an early age?

Good spot Tal Bloke.

He began his career as an apprentice with Jim Bulger, down in Co Kilkenny, quite near Waterford, so that's way down south.

I wonder whether, when he rings home, his accent switches back.
