See to me it's clearly blue and black - had to double check i hadn't slept through til 1st April when Dan told me he sees white and gold - weird but cool!

That's what I thought - also their explanation would surely mean that this would be a fairly common occurrence (?), but I can't think of any other time where different people have seen such radically different colours on a picture.

I think that's the weirdest thing about it, but i guess in other cases where the same might apply there has simply been no need for anyone to comment on the colours of a photographed object. i still don't really understand why the science doesn't apply across the board

It looks like when you take a bad photo of snow and it goes a bluey colour.  You can still tell it's white but it has a blue hue due to the bad photography.

Dress is blue in that Andrew, I'm sure on that one.
