I can remember the Heysel tragedy like it was yesterday. Obviously these things are entirely personal and we're shocked by different stuff but it's probably in my top 3 of all time shock factor events, 9/11 would be there and not sure of the other one.

Had been a regular walk-up fan at Highbury until then and from that day I don't think I went to a football match again until around 2002 when my boy was a teenager and prem football at least had become very sanitised and safe.
