No mashed potato -1
People have mashed potato with a roast?? Big fan of the gravy boat though  you mean there are heathens that don't?  Surely Sunday Dinner is a roast dinner - hence roast potatoes with it; or would you advocate roast potatoes as well as mashed?Of course. I don't think I'd want that much potato - but I definitely approve of the concept surely it's the meat that's roasted? although clearly have both.... |

You roast the potatoes in the same tin as the meat to improve the flavour |

Use beef or lamb, add peas, mash etc, present better, include sundries like cutlery drinks and sauces. |

The only sauce you need with a roast meal is gravy!
Mint sauce? Apple sauce? No thanks. Detracts massively from the taste of the meat.
