From an English Gite owner about guests who voted Brexit. All know they were lied to and would vote the other way if asked again.

"Good news but I don’t think for a minute Corbyn believes it,” said Soubry. “Tactical move to stuff the government."

The other day I'd put some pasta on the hob, was about 5 minutes into cooking when my friends called and invited me for dinner, I'd been in the house by myself all day and it hit me that it's just going to be miles better eating out in good company than some shitty pasta on the sofa by myself. So i threw the pasta away and went for dinner.

Obviously i've wasted some pasta, and that's terrible, I spent a lot more money than I was going too as well...but i had a great evening, it was the right decision.

We had a go at brexit, everyone voted it was all very democratic , just turned into a real shambles. No shame in changing your mind.

(I realise this is a full scale U-Turn from my position earlier in the year - but hey...I'm malleable!)

Transition deal has immense financial logic: you might as well stay for dessert if you have already paid for it.

Head of Cabinet for the Vice-President of the European Commission.

Juho Romakkaniemi‏ @Romakka

Brexit considerations:

It's baffling that UK Government doesn't seem to understand a few simple things:

1/  there won't be any discussion about any new arrangements before there is an agreement on citizens rights and financial settlement.

2) We are not negotiating in the European Council meetings and/or separately with each Member States - not even with Berlin or Paris.

3) Position papers are very welcome, but it would be helpful to start with the things we need to sort out first.

4) To reach a compromise, it requires two sides with clear and coherent positions to negotiate with. Waiting risks failing completely.

5) The economic hit of "no deal" is far more harsher for the UK than the EU. So any UK's bluff will be called by the EU's side.

6) The EU wants to have a fair deal, but EU measures the fairness logically according to clear principles - not acc. to tabloid slogans.

7) So hopefully the UK comes soon with clear and coherent positions so that we can have fair and balanced deal with our friend and ally
