ok,i enjoy the debate anyway Glenn. now probably not the time to make the "EU has prevented a lot of conflicts and wars" argument :-)

------

there has been a leak of the draft tomorrow, see below

sort of looks like out but in.soft as soft can be

hence the leavers in cabinet pretty furious, but what are they going to do?

Such a good post by nirvantz.

Undoubtedly all leaders will unite over terror. Nobody wants to see a school explode when cooperation could've prevented it. Looks real bad.

But the same leaders won't show the same resolution over dollar bill stuff. That's what people are like see.

I confess voting Brexit was based mostly on emotion, soz, but then again I could've used these charts and tables in advance of visiting the ballot box. Feel proper let down by all political parties really.

Could prove to be a real simpleton move, maybe not. But it's only basic simpleton level due to being oblivious.

Remain who serve to weaken our position during negotiations with sad faces and tales of woe are very simple indeed, like gold level simpletons.

Surely it is leavers that have weakened our position?

Voting leave and then walking round talking shit, acting like a bad ass and blaming every other fucker for the potential mess we are in seems a pretty low grade move.  Own the consequences of your decision.

Seems like a great endgame, spending billions and ending up with a poorer version of what we had before seems so fitting.  What was the strapline, giving back control?

Love politics.

tbf, pretty legit to blame remain - their leading lights asked the question and promised to see through the will of the people whatever the outcome . They then ran a ludicrous campaign where people like Boris and Farage end up more trusted than them and then ran off when they lost. Even worse, many remainers didn't even vote apparently. No doubt 'remain' are to blame

Morning all,

One of the most bizarre of all is the ‘we voted leave to punish remain for a running a shit campaign’ brigade. It’s like it’s Pop Idol or something. I’m thinking good reasons for voting:

1: What is best for the country.
2: What is best for Europe.
3: What is best for my friends, family and me.

Basing it on who ran the best campaign is next level, I hadn’t known it was possible to be that dumb prior to Brexit.

I think a decent hierarchy of blame is something like:

1: DC and senior tories at the time
2: Everyone who doesn’t regularly change their mind when new information comes to light
3: Corbyn and senior figures in the Labour Party
4: People who voted leave based on the crazy stuff, ‘emotion’ for example.
5: Remainers who didn’t vote
6: Boris, Gove, Farage, Mogg etc

Whiney remainers only make a difference in the imagination of the crazies. Unless someone can explain other wise of course....who knows, I might change my mind.

Lots of of the stuff you write on Brexit is incredible to me. I guess it highlights what a divisive topic it is, to my interpretation it’s like a completely different person writing to everything you write on every other topic.

“What I know, and that’s all that matters to me” is not great from a legit smart guy.

You're right that it is really divisive. The what I know comment is only really a continuum of my general disregard for politicians and them for me / us ie. I was given a vote, I know why I voted like I did, i know this could be solved in an intelligent, benefits for all, manner but politicians choose not to.do that. Probably badly put though and perhaps again Smiley

I can’t remember ever being anything other than objective about JC. Some of his contributions on Brexit border on dereliction of Duty.

Corbyn above Farage, Boris, Mogg etc?  I get that Corbyn was pretty lukewarm throughout the campaign, but still.

terrible campaign as it was, Remain would have won if Corbyn had committed to it,and with it his legions in the cities. As he's a leaver though, it didn't happen

can we put the loonie squad of Farage and Mogg equal with Corbyn though please? feels discriminatory to give them less blame

Boris should go higher given he seemed happy to switch sides for personal gain.  Suapect Mogg believes what he is saying and Corbyn has never been an enthusiast.  Gove can also go higher just because he is Gove.   Farage has been as happy as anyone to enrich himself at our expense in Brussels.  If you really believe that it is a huge waste of money, don't add to it.  S
