lol first paragraph

I guess it boils down to whether the electorate wants their candidate to focus more on mitigating what they perceive to be the negative impact of brexit or fighting the new runway

The official lib deb position is to oppose expansion at heathrow too which makes the lib dems evens look attractive in the betting

First poll has Zac ahead 56% to Lib dems 29%

Also poll quote  "Zac support not hugely motivated by Brexit. Heathrow + Local MP reputation more important. Means some Remainers pro Zac."

Zac into 1/2 on betting. 4/5 still on Korals

A weak pound is no tonic for UK's long-term economic recovery

meanwhile one focus group found no one had heard of John McDonnell (just wait til they find out his history) and whilst i know no one really follows politics like a sad nerd like me, its always a bit of a shock to see how little they follow it

I think anyone who is politically engaged assumes everyone else is, especially as your social media usually shows you political posts if thats what you like. But in real life its remarkable how many people will say 'Corbyn... is he labour or conservative?'

I always used to be amazed at how little knowledge of what was going on some people had until I moved to Dublin. I'm a typical Brit abroad and watch BBC/Sky News and read the UK websites - didn't watch any Irish news or read Irish newspapers.

I was here 6 months before I found out that there was a coalition government at the time - even someone as normally clued up on things as me didn't even know which party was in power.
