The pound is now at 1985 levels, per Fox.

Saying that here aswell. Mainly just debating whether cameron has to go straight away or not. Leave has officially won aswell now.

Officially?

Or just broadcasters calling it based on projections?

Broadcasters calling it.

Though, of course, the formal declaration is when there's nothing available to back on Betfair.

Gold now up 6.5%

Seriously. 3% jump on that announcement by the UK broadcasters.

The way this is going, it'll be close if you go deep in a WSOP event as to whether you want to negotiate a deal for the money or the bracelet

The amount of button clicking going on with the markets today has further convinced me going into trading after poker is viable. Just got to learn to ride those short term waves rather than months of breaking even at mtts.

Put in simple terms the British public has decided to risk an economic hit, with those voting leave most at risk from rising unemployment, rather than accept current levels of immigration. This is going to end up in textbooks, and its only just beginning...incredible night

What are the main effects of leaving?

What timescale will we leave?

How will it effect immigrants currently in the country?

in the sense that the establishment is hated yes, but if leave was farage led alone they wouldn't have won I think. Trump should be too nasty to too many to win

Immigrants already here will be allowed to stay I believe.

Auntie Nicola says she sees Scotland's future as being in the EU - clearly angling for another referendum.

Sinn Fein says it strengthens the case for a vote on a united Ireland.

Put in more simple terms - David Cameron, the Tories and the people who voted for them have the led the country to precisely this point by holding a referendum in the first place. Don't blame the public

It's the Tory sneering class with their contempt for the rest of us that made this happen

Presumably the Tories have a plan since they determined we would have a referendum
